Symbiosis School of Sports Sciences Pune Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

Symbiosis International University is the only landmark that Lavale village has. There’s absolutely nothing in the vicinity of the college and though some construction was going on but it will take few years, before Lavale becomes a household name. The campus had all the facilities inside and was strict too as students were warned if they take their vehicles beyond a certain point. Campus promotes green environment and therefore they have stacked the campus with enough cycles to use from. Pune witness heavy rainfalls but the drainage system of the campus is such that once the rain stops the puddles will be gone in few hours. Sporting facilities were great and had the best kit for playing any games such as Cricket, Table Tennis or Volleyball.

Sharing space and rubbing shoulders with foreigners was an experience that can’t be described. Yes, the university hosted events to boast for, invited celebrities to boast for but staying with foreign nationals was definitely the biggest takeaway for me. I don’t know any other university where students from entire states of India and from some countries of abroad stay together like they did at SIU campus. The campus size is unimaginable as none of us from the college have seen a campus of that size. 300 acres to be precise and had all the facilities so that we don’t have to go out for our needs. 15 buildings of the 15 institutes that operated in SIU campus. The campus is like a smart city with some state-of-the-art buildings, international-styled sporting facilities, and lush green hills at the backdrop. Our building entrance had a statue of Lord Buddha. All the facilities were more or less the same, but the unique thing was the promotion of bicycles. Every admin building had a rack full of the bicycle. Students can take the bicycle to explore the campus. The bicycle racks were available outside every academic block. The campus has a center called Symbiosis Center for Health Care that cares about medical things during any emergency. The hilltop campus is a masterpiece, and one can visit the campus to explore one of the nicest campuses in India.

It was a pleasure to mingle with students of various colleges. Not just Indians, but the campus also had foreigners from nearly 30 countries. The experience and exposure to knowing various cultures were an entirely new experience and something that will stay with me for life.Read Full Review

The campus had no issue other than the area. The campus has buses that would run all day long and will drop you to many points in Pune. Still, even after staying for two years in Pune, I just saw a few of the areas. From inside though no flaw at all. Campus is ever growing as soon the university is planning to bring all their institutes under this roof. The university has 28 institutes and by the time I left there were just 15 or 16 maybe. The college promotes greener environment and therefore there was a cycle stand from where we can pick a bicycle and roam inside the campus using the cycles. The sports ground would see students of different institutes competing as sports united all the institutes of the campus. The canteen was great as luckily it had Momos and Pasta and that has been my bread and butter for life. The campus may not have anything around it but has everything inside it.

Interacting with students of different institutes was fun. Not just students from all parts of India but at Symbiosis students from various countries come and study. Every institute of Symbiosis has an NRI quota and that quota is always filled because the university has created a niche for itself not just in India but abroad as well. Many fests were conducted and among those was international student fest where they shared their experience of studying at Symbiosis.
