Many international faces were at the campus to teach us some of the best and interesting subjects. India still doesn’t have many sports managers forget about the teachers. Among guest faculties we had owners of Rajasthan Royals, and KKR’s Venky Mysore who have hired a lot of students from SSSS. We were not trained just to work for the franchise in selecting players but also in finding sponsors and marketing the franchise. Most of the professors were MD or PhD. A sportsperson goes under the hammer several times in his career. For example, Sachin Tendulkar had 11 surgeries in his career of 24 years. Hence, one of the important aspects of the syllabus was how to avoid injuries. The MD faculty taught us about technicality. Once we are through the course, many leagues and boards worldwide can show interest in us as we can advise their players on what drills to do for a particular sport to avoid injuries. Like weight lifting can benefit a player playing Cricket but not for players playing tennis. The faculty, on the whole, were great as getting to the skin of each student to understand how they can contribute was commendable. Most of the students who joined this course had no idea about the course, but faculty made sure that in 2 years they will make us a specialist in which we were good.Read Full Review

Faculties were brought from abroad as sports management in India is still relatively new. Now imagine Americans teaching us in their accent was so fun. They have worked with firms and players in the past so they taught us everything by doing practicals in the class. Classes were more of a fun session than anything else. Since everything was mostly done it practical way, it’s hard to describe how the professors did their job. All in all, faculties were roped in from some of the biggest sports management schools of the world and many guest faculties in the form of sports players were invited time to time.Read Full Review
