Bikaner Technical University Reviews on Placement, Faculty, Hostel by Students

I prepared for IITs but due to lack of facilities in Bikaner, I couldn’t reach there. However, this is not the excuse as the city has more IITIians than many other 2-tier cities of India. Keeping the goal if IIT in my mind, I reached BTU Bikaner as it one of the top ranked engineering colleges in the state. Erstwhile it was known as University College of Engineering and Technology but it is now known as Bikaner Technical University. Just the name has changed as the college is still the same and many facilities have been updated but more or less not many changes have been made. Mechanical Engineering was not out of choice because CS was my choice but because I didn’t had the rankings that can led me to CS, I chose Mechanical as it was my second option. Well, the second option college and second option course and yet I am writing in mesmeric tone about BTU is because BTU have us wings to fly and elevated us to dream big in life.Read Full Review

BTU formerly known as University College of Engineering and Technology is a government college and one of the best in Rajasthan. When I joined the college, the name of the college was that but in 2017, it was changed to Bikaner Technical University. The admissions are based on the score of JEE and then we have to fill REAP form. Post that counseling is done and seats are allotted. BTU was my first choice as I engineering from a government college has its own value even if it doesn’t provide placements. The college’s infrastructure is great as there are around 20 labs for mechanical department. Just one section was there was mechanical branch with 44 students as maximum students were in CS and CIVIL branches. Since my father has an engineering unit, it was inevitable for me to go for mechanical engineering. The other colleges that I was targeting were MBM Engineering College in Jodhpur, Maharana Pratap University in Udaipur, and others. However, since my family put in Napasar and Bikaner being the closest to my place, BTU stayed my first choice and I was happy to get admissions here.Read Full Review
