Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science & Technology Thanjavur Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

We have the total of 300 areas of greener land. We have 5 large main buildings with each containing of minimum 100 classrooms. We have the best and large library across the country called "Arjun Singh Library" which contains 1, 00,000 books with all the journals and magazines filled the total racks. Our playground was nearly 10 acres and we have all the essential sports equipment with well trained coaching staffs.

Overall campus life was better with greener environment that give us peace and cooler mindset. Our total strength of the university was nearly 10000 with faculty member nearly 200. We have nearly 20 clubs that supports literature and social environment. We also donated the sum of money to the nearby villages for the social cause improvement and that let us and other universities to help the people with their needs.Read Full Review

The academic blocks are located far away from each other. The building blocks are very old but provide enough natural lighting and ventilation. But the washrooms are not well-maintained. There is a big sports ground and multipurpose indoor stadium. There are two canteens available in the campus. This institute has parking facilities for the staff and students. There are many trees in the campus.

The campus life is very enjoyable. There are many fests happening frequently. The Pongal and annual functions will be celebrated grandly. Symposiums will be conducted regularly. There are social and political clubs where the students can engage themselves and contribute to the society. The cultural clubs host competitions regularly for the refreshment of students and to improve their co curricular talents.Read Full Review

We have three blocks there. One is the technology block where the engineering, biotechnology, mechanic, civil, electronics, and business administration students study. The second one is Periyar Knowledge Block, where the students in the computer science field study. And lastly architecture block. There are two canteens in our institute. The food was good. Also sports facilities and grounds are available there for playing games after classes.

The campus life was satisfying to me because the campus is neat and clean. And the crowd is about 7000 students and they were interested in gaining knowledge. There are 10 clubs in our institute to encourage the student's talents and their activities. Also here only two events are conducted per year PEACE function and Pongal function.
