Sardar Bhagwan Singh PG Institute of Biomedical Sciences & Research (SBSPGI) was established in 1994. Later, in 2018, it was granted the Private University status and was renamed as Sardar Bhagwan Singh University (SBS University). The University has 2 campuses located at Balawala & Dehradun, and are managed under the Gaurav Bharti Shiksha Sansthan.
SBS University is approved by AICTE & UGC, and is recognised by PCI and the Indian Association of Physiotherapist (IAP).
The University runs around 7 Schools which are School of Computer Science & Engineering, School of Management, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Technology, and School of Agricultural Sciences, to name a few. Here, the programs are offered at UG, PG, Doctoral, and Diploma levels.
The Sardar Bhagwan Singh University is famous for providing B.Pharm courses to the students with an extensive curriculum. The total fees of the same course is Rs. 7,20,500/-.
At the University, more than 500 companies participated in the recruitment drives like Cipla, Torrent, Pfizer, Lupin, etc. 200+ placements are offered to the students every year. Admission Process
To secure admission at the University, students are required to fill and submit the application & admission form through online mode on the official website. They can also download & fill the form and submit the same at the campus.
The Sardar Bhagwan Singh University admission process includes shortlisting students based on merit in the last qualifying examination / SBSU-NEST (as applicable). Further students have to attend counselling, and confirm the offered seats by paying the requisite fee.
Reservation Criteria
The Sardar Bhagwan Singh University has reserved seats for the students belonging to the Sikh Minority community, ex-students in PG program, NRIs, etc. In addition to this, seats under the Supernumerary Quota are reserved for the Kashmiri Migrants.

The Sardar Bhagwan Singh University awards Institutional scholarships to the students under different categories such as merit-based, sports, alumni, domicile, and the list continues. The scholarship schemes are available to encourage the meritorious, deserving, and needy students to complete their higher education without any financial constraints. Additionally, State and Central Government scholarships can also be availed by the students.
Students who have secured more than 50% marks in the last qualifying examination or merit scores in SBSU-NEST / JEE Main / NEET are provided a monetary amount under the Merit Scholarship scheme.
