Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT), Coimbatore has beautifully constructed modern architecture which is inspired by ancient & traditional designs. Furthermore, KCT Coimbatore campus contains different blocks including about 4 academic ones and 1 administrative block.
KCT Coimbatore is developed on a sprawling land of approximately 156 acres and has an eco-friendly atmosphere due to the lush-green surroundings. In addition to this, numerous state-of-the-art facilities are present at the premises of the College including well-ventilated classrooms, hostels, laboratories, medical services, sports, and the list goes on with many others.

Academic Facilities
The College contains about 113 classrooms which are spacious, well-lit, and have all the necessary digital equipment including overhead projectors, white screen, sound & audio systems, etc. to enable students to experience engaging and interactive sessions. Additionally, there are around 22 tutorial rooms, through which the College conducts lectures integrating application-based pedagogies.
Moreover, there is a ‘Ramanandha Adigalar Auditorium’ which is air-conditioned and is developed across an area of about 15,683 square meters. The auditorium has a seating capacity of about 1500 students and has a stage which covers an area of around 1632 square feet. It is equipped with lighting systems, multimedia settings, etc. to conduct large-scale events successfully.
Furthermore, there is a ‘Sarabhai Kalam Theater’ which can accommodate about 450 students as it is built across an area of about 6000 square feet. It is a space where webinars, International conferences, sessions through video-conferencing are organised. Additionally, there is a conference room present at the Kumaraguru College of Technology Coimbatore campus.
In addition to this, there are about 3 seminar halls within the campus of the College including ‘Sir CV Raman Hall’ which has a built-in area of about 3000 square feet, has a stage of area 480 square feet , and can seat about 300 students. Moreover, the ‘Swami Vivekananda Hall’ is built across an area of 3190 square feet and the ‘C-Block Seminar Hall’ is spread across an area of around 3040 square feet. Both of them can accommodate approximately 250 students and each of their stages are built across 385 square feet area.

- Library: Kumaraguru College of Technology campus has a ‘Mahatma Gandhi Central Library’ which aids students gain an extensive information of nearly all the subjects and disciplines through the vast collection of resources. The library spreads across an area of about 1714 square meters and contains about 64,794 titles, around 1,13,446 volumes, approximately 248 print journals & magazines. Moreover, there are various departmental libraries at the campus.
Apart from this, various e-resources are available for the students at the library including about 8770 International e-journals, etc. The library also has a board room through which panel discussions, brainstorming sessions are conducted, refreshment point, reading spaces, reprography, and other such amenities.
- Laboratories: There are about 2 computer centres at the KCT Coimbatore campus that aid students grow and develop in the technical field as a competent individual. In addition to this, there are about 165 laboratories in the departments of the College including Aeronautical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Fashion Technology, Computer Applications, etc.
Some of the departmental labs of the College are Low Speed Aerodynamics laboratory, Automotive Chassis laboratory, Pattern Making & Grading laboratory, and Garment Construction laboratory.
Non-Academic Facilities

- Sports: Students are encouraged to win accolades in the various games and sports tournaments at the College as it has the finest of resources including a vast ground of 23 acres. Moreover, various facilities are present for the outdoor games including Football, Hockey, Cricket, Volleyball, Basketball, Ball Badminton, Kabaddi, Handball, Throw ball, Kho-Kho, and others.
Along with this, a hall dedicated for Martial Arts, ‘Dr. N. Mahalingam Chess Academy’, and about 6 Badminton Courts are present as the indoor sports amenities within the College premises.
- Hostel: The top-notch residential facilities which are present separately for both male and female students at the College have all the necessary amenities. Moreover, there are about 9 KCT Coimbatore Hostel blocks along with 2 dormitory-style residences within the premises. Furthermore, the hostel rooms are fully-furnished and can accommodate more than 3214 students.
Along with the same, the amenities at the hostels of KCT Coimbatore campus include a mess, fully-furnished rooms, laundry, study room, medical centre, 24/7 security, gymnasium, etc.
- Cafeteria: There is a ‘KORE’ cafeteria available at the campus which has a seating capacity of 1000 students. Along with it, an ‘East KORE’ cafeteria is present which can accommodate around 450 individuals. - Healthcare Facility: Students at the College can avail treatments for their ailments from the ‘Aruljyothi Medical Centre’ which has 8-beds, 2 medical professionals, nursing assistants, and ambulances services.
