Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT), Coimbatore emphasises on maintaining privacy and complete security within its premises as it offers female and male students separate accommodations. In addition to this, the KCT Coimbatore hostels have a number of amenities to ensure students do not face any inconveniences while completing their academic journey.

KCT Coimbatore has about 6 blocks in the hostels for boys and around 3 blocks in the girls’ hostels. Furthermore, the girls’ hostel has a built-up area of 1,34,606 square feet and the boys’ hostel is spread across about 2,42,326 square feet. Moreover, all the hostels can accommodate more than 3214 students in total. • Students residing within the hostels of the College are required to possess their ID cards while entering or exiting the premises.
• Ragging is considered a criminal offense. Therefore, hostellers should not indulge in it under any circumstance.
• Boarders are strictly not allowed to consume alcohol, drugs, and smoke within the hostel premises.
• No functions, meetings, or gathering should be arranged within the hostel blocks without the permission of chief warden / respective head authorities.
• Boarders can meet their parents / guardians in the dedicated place specified by the hostel management and during 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on working days & on non-working days, the time duration is from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Residents of the hostel can go out on the weekdays and weekends only after they have a prior permission of the Hostel Officer, Parents, and HOD (only for weekdays).
• Students should not cook within the hostel premises in any case.

The boys and girls students reside within the separate hostels present within the KCT Coimbatore Campus. Moreover, there are dormitories available in Vallalar Maiyam and Sharada Maiyam which can collectively accommodate about 160 students. In addition to this, there is an off-campus 5-storied accommodation called the ‘Hive’ which is located nearby the campus. It provides luxurious residential facilities to the male students of the College & contains around 58 rooms with attached bathrooms, available in single & double occupancy.

In addition to this, the on-campus boys’ hostels have about 6 blocks which contain over 508 rooms, having a collective seating capacity of more than 2082 students. On the other hand, there are 264+ rooms having an accommodation capacity of over 1132 students in the 3 hostel blocks dedicated for female students.
