About the college Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT) started in the year 2006, and in its brief timeline, has grown many fold over the years. It has been imparting quality technical and management education to thousands, and the strong alumni network is only a testimony to it. The college intakes students through entrance exams like CET and COMED-K, and management quota every academic year. The college is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum and hence follows its Guidelines for admissions. Along with all major streams of engineering, unique courses such as BE in AI and ML, Marine Engineering and Nanotechnology are offered by the college, which are definitely niche skills to acquire. Distinctively a five year B. Arch programme is also available, which moulds students to design the most modern human habitats. In addition to these under graduate courses, there are post-graduate programmes like M.Tech, MBA, MCA options available. None the less to say Srinivas Institute of Technology amazes you with a plethora of courses under a single roof. If you are an engineering aspirant and would love to do inter-disciplinary projects or get into building start ups, this should be the place for you, because of the sheer talent pool available at your footsteps. It is a campus where every talent resides for every other niche skill. It has to note that students across the country come here to study, hence it is a melting pot of cultures and should give you a vivid experience Phew...! Management
No matter how ever good the college is, it has to be backed be even better management and Visionaries. SIT is over-whelming blessed in this front. The college is managed by the prestigious SRINIVAS GROUP, which has been transforming lives through education since 1988 in diverse fields. These include Medicine, Engineering, Hotel Management, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy and Nursing spread across 3 different campuses in Mangalore. It is only fair to assign a distinct pedigree to the group for the multifarious outlook they provide. The management has gone a leap ahead to establish the SRINIVAS University, which in itself is an achievement, and would enable to design niche courses and make student more industry ready. From my experience, the management takes keen interest in every activity organised in the college. It is only obvious then to mention that the students get the best in class for every service offered to them. Kudos to the management for the untiring efforts and I am pretty sure that every student who has passed out would have felt the touch of affection and care from them.Read Full Review
