To enhance the overall teaching-learning experience of the students, there are approximately 133 ICT enabled classrooms & tutorial rooms that are equipped with modern LCD projectors, lecture capture systems, smart boards, etc. Within the premises, there are around 3 air-conditioned auditoriums equipped with modern AV systems. The ‘Takshila’ & ‘Nalanda’ auditoriums have an accommodation capacity of around 250 students, and 400 for the ‘Smt. Sakarben Sabhagraha’ auditorium.
Moreover, the University has ‘Tagore Amphitheatre’ & ‘Gargi Plaza’ wherein cultural activities are organised. The libraries are automated & have a collective learning resources of around 1,96,836 books, 35,036 reference books, 1,61,751 textbooks, 182 print journals / magazines, 14,066 e-journals, 436 thesis & dissertations, 25,810 e-books, 44 newspapers, 3018 CDs, 32 databases, etc.
Moreover, the central library is a member of e-ShodhSindhu, Shodhganga, INFLIBNET, etc.; the other subscriptions to e-resources include Taylor & Francis, Science Direct, Springer Nature, McGraw-Hill Engineering, DELNET, to name a few.
- Laboratories: At the Somaiya Vidyavihar University campus, there are more than 85 computer labs & other departmental laboratories. Computer labs with requisite hardware & software are available for the students to enhance their digital skills.
