

The Institute started operations in 1887 as the Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute. It was later renamed as the Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI) in 1997. Located at Mumbai, Maharashtra, the Institute was later granted the Autonomous status by UGC.

Admission Process
Students can apply for admission at the Institute through the official website of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra. The VJTI Mumbai admission seats for the UG & PG courses will be filled on merit basis through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) that is conducted by the DTE, Maharashtra.
* It is to be noted that admission in the M.Tech program is not available for the students belonging to the Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries / NRI / OCI / PIO / Foreign Nationals.
