Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, Mumbai: A prestigious Institute

Overall Rating
Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute is one of the prestigious engineering institutes in Maharashtra. It is renowned for its academic excellence and its placement rates. Till now my overall experience in this institute is truly enriching, offering a well-rounded education. Factors that made me choose Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, Mumbai is that first of all it has its own reputation and legacy since 1887, and it is one of the oldest engineering institutes in India. And second one is the placement record - it's outstanding.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen B.Tech in Production Engineering. Actually I was having quite interest in core field means related to mechanics. For getting admission in this institute is through MHT-CET exam. In my branch there are 8 semesters. In every semester it contain two exams one is MST and second one is ESE. In my particular branch there are workshops conducted such as DSW workshop. In this workshop we learn about different materials used in the manufacturing process and we learn how to do the work more efficiently.
Fees for B.Tech are Rs. 85,000 per year. And for me as I was an OBC student, my fee was Rs. 70,551. Yes, there are many scholarships and financial aid available for the students.
 

Faculty Rating
Experienced and knowledgeable professors are there in this institute. Many professors have industry collaborations, which helps students gain practical insights beyond textbooks. Many faculty members are involved in research projects and consultancy work. Teachers are really helpful and really good at doubt solving. They are highly qualified from IITs and NITs and they understand the need of students. Also they help in making projects and other activities related to their domain and space of interest.
 

Placement Rating
Placements at Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute are above par and this institute has its own legacy in placements, many MNC offers dream package to the students.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel at Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute is not so good but it's quite affordable. The allotment for hostel is purely merit based and accordingly it is allocated to students. It also has mess facilities where breakfast is served along with mess and dinner. The quality is edible and very affordable.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute has 16 acres of campus and it has two playgrounds. It has hostels in 6 acres and institute campus in other 10 acres. It includes a central library, canteen, auditorium and very newly furnished and high tech classroom as well as labs and much maintained equipment. Also it has A, B, C, and D blocks in buildings which include department for Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering department.
 

Campus Rating
My overall campus life at Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute was awesome till now. I really enjoyed this new experience with amazing friends and it was an enjoyable time with them. The institute crowd at Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute is highly qualified as all of them have cleared intense competition. There are various types of clubs in institute which includes, tech clubs, cultural and related to other field of interest. The fests at VJTI are amazing and you will get engagement with your peers as well.

    Overall experience of my college is good. VJTI is in Mumbai so we have many opportunities. VJTI has good infrastructure but some teachers are not that much good. VJTI is best for their legacy of about 138 years. VJTI is better than below NITS and new NITS. VJTI has many departments for individual degrees and diploma. Good placement opportunities.     I’m in currently First Year B.Tech at Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute. My branch is Electronics and Telecommunication. I had just completed my first semester but if I have to give an overview then I must say the institute is really better in terms of academics and placements seeing recent year placement reports.
