IIT Bombay has a Placement Office which is responsible for the campus placement. It provides support to the students and achieves balance between student aspirations and the expectations of the recruiters. IIT Bombay also facilitates summer and winter Internships for the students to provide them first-hand experience of industries. Pre-placement offers are given based on the internships.
IBM, Google, TATA, Microsoft, Accenture, EY, ITC, Uber, Samsung, Sony, Honda, Texas Instruments, Reliance Industries Limited, Bloom energy, BAJAJ, L’Oreal, JSSW, P&G, NEC, Morgan Stanley, HP, Vedanta, Unilever, etc. are some of the recruiting companies visiting the campus to grant placement opportunities to the students.
IIT Bombay is spread around 550 acres and is approximately half an hour away from the city center. The campus is located in North Eastern Hubs and is connected by local trains, cabs, and buses.
