NIT Hamirpur Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

Our campus has different buildings for different departments. The academic blocks are well furnished and have labs, study centres and lecture halls. The labs are provided with latest technology equipments costing from 20-50 lakhs. The halls are also well maintained and have good build quality. There are two lecture halls. There is a big library with variety of books ranging from academic books to novels and thesis. There is one large auditorium and one mini auditorium with all the facilities provided by the institute. There are various shops inside the campus for daily needs, stationary items and laundry facility.

The institute's campus life is truly amazing. If you are a person who loves to explore things and make the best use of opportunities, then this college is for you. The seniors are really amazing and helpful. They motivate you to join clubs and participate in fests. The major fests include Nimbus, which is held in March and Hillfair, held in October. Apart from these, there are many fests like Cultural Fests, Hackathons and Technical Fests which are organised by the students themselves and various clubs are active throughout the year which will give you the best college exposure. Other activities and events are also conducted on special occasions. The campus infrastructure covers all the basic needs as clean water, spacious Science labs, and an auditorium for events, a playground for sports, and a well-stocked library. The lecture hall building is there for classes, which are well-mannered classes with both AC and fan systems. Also, there is a digital board in each class. There are many Canteens on campus where all type of food is available at a decent rate. There is also a health center There is an Open Theater Area (OAT) where clubs and societies in Institute practice for Events and functions, which is very cool place to sit.

Overall my experience in campus was good. There are various societies and clubs on campus that are responsible for organizing Events and functions on campus throughout the year. There are mainly two events in the campus. One is Technical, called NIMBUS and the other is a Cultural fest. Clubs and societies are active in each field, whether it is Technical or Cultural. They also organized solo performances and open mics to provide opportunities to the students. There is also an auditorium for seminar meetings, which are conducted by faculty. In terms of infrastructure of NIT Hamirpur I would say it is the best. All the buildings are classically designed and a piece of perfection in my opinion. No motorbikes are allowed to students within the campus still the connectivity of one to other place is too good. Libraries are designed in a way that students can't get any noise from anywhere and can study peacefully. Auditorium of the college is also very large, fully furnished and have a large stage.

In terms of Campus life, NIT Hamirpur is not less than heaven. The campus is situated on a hilltop in the district of Hamirpur surrounded by many hills and mountains. The temperature of the campus in summer is an average of 28 degrees and in winters it is an average of 12 degrees which make it a very cool place to reside. There are two fests in our college first is NIMBUS the tech fest of the NIT Hamirpur and the other one is HILLFAIR organised by the students of NIT Hamirpur.Read Full Review
