NIT Srinagar B.Tech Fees Structure 2026 & Admission Process

One just has to dedicate himself/herself as if one is ensure about their loyalties towards education or doing engineering should leave after the first semester or the first year. Many students in NITs or even IITs do that as one has to dedicate themselves entirely to academics. On odd days, we have classes and labs that can last 8-10 hours. The projects, the after studies, and all means one has to be with their books for few more hours post that. Yes, NIT Srinagar commands this level of commitment from its students.

I am from Civil Engineering. I was selected through JEE Main scores and my rank was good. Admission process is very simple. Just after your selection, pay online registration fees and come to the Institution for physical reporting and complete your admission. Here, we have semester wise exams, 4 in a year. The academic life is challenging and prepares you for life challenges, which will help you in your life to tackle problems and situations.

The fee for general students is almost Rs. 80,000/- per semester and category students' fee is Rs. 38,000/-. Yes, concession is provided to category students and there is Scholarship scheme for 1st year students.Read Full Review

I got NIT Srinagar when I cleared my JEE Main exam in 12th class, I got IT (Information Technology) which is actually a good branch after CSE, you have to do coding stuff in it. You have to clear a cut off rank which is provided to you after you clear this exam with good score, you have list of other NITs if your rank is decent you will surely get this one. Also admission process is very simple: pay online some money to confirm seat, go to Institute, and complete the process and stay. Actually here, works semester system 1 year means 2 semesters so we have to give 4 exams 2 mid-term 2 end-term every year. I go to classes and do extra stuff to improve skills but academics helped me to be punctual and complete things on time.

Fee is less than compared to the level of education. its Rs. 90,000/- for General and Rs. 40,000/- for SC and ST per semester which is quite less than other NITs , discount is there for category students like general EwS, SC, ST and OBC and even for PwD students.
