    NIT Kolkata: B.Tech Program's Fees and Academics
    One just has to dedicate himself/herself as if one is ensure about their loyalties towards education or doing engineering should leave after the first semester or the first year. Many students in NITs or even IITs do that as one has to dedicate themselves entirely to academics. On odd days, we have classes and labs that can last 8-10 hours. The projects, the after studies, and all means one has to be with their books for few more hours post that. Yes, NIT Srinagar commands this level of commitment from its students.
    Rs. 80,000 a semester is our fee, that means around 6.5 Lakh will be the total college fees for doing Engineering. Hostel fee is separate though.Read Full Review

    NIT Srinagar, ranked by NIRF at 79th position in 'Engineering' category in 2024
    It is a National Institute; its NIRF 2024 ranking is 79th in the Engineering category. To get enrolled I qualified JEE Main and then, after proper counselling, I got admission here. Eligibility is that you have to score 75% aggregate marks in 12th with PCM or PCMB. The students have to clear the cutoff for admission. In our Institute, we have the liberty to choose our electives as per interests from the 5th semester onwards, and one can also do Honors in B.Tech.
    The fee per semester is around Rs. 1,05,000/-. It includes the tuition fee (Rs. 76,000/-) + hostel fee (Rs. 8000/-) + mess fee (Rs. 21,000/-) for general / OBC category students having an annual income of above Rs. 5,00,000/-. There are fee waivers and scholarships also.Read Full Review

    NIT Srinagar B.Tech Seat is Alloted through JoSAA Counseling
    Admission is done by JEE Main JoSAA counseling. Exams are held regularly on proper schedule as per the academic calendar. Exams are conducted semester-wise and academics are the best.
    Fee structure is reasonable as fee is very low as compared to other Institutes. The fee of NIT Srinagar is about Rs. 72,000/- per year.Read Full Review
