NIT Srinagar is Good Enough

Overall Rating
NIT Srinagar is good institute. It may be a lower ranked NIT but still corporate looks at this college. Faculties from various places have come here to teach as the best has been hired to make sure that students get the best of learning. It is still an odd feeling when NITs are compared with each other.
 

Academics Rating
One just has to dedicate himself/herself as if one is ensure about their loyalties towards education or doing engineering should leave after the first semester or the first year. Many students in NITs or even IITs do that as one has to dedicate themselves entirely to academics. On odd days, we have classes and labs that can last 8-10 hours. The projects, the after studies, and all means one has to be with their books for few more hours post that. Yes, NIT Srinagar commands this level of commitment from its students.
Rs. 80,000 a semester is our fee, that means around 6.5 Lakh will be the total college fees for doing Engineering. Hostel fee is separate though.
 

Faculty Rating
For faculties every class is not just a do or die class but way more than that. Their commitment and focus are something that if students adopts just the 25% of it they will go places. Faculties and students hold a long and special relationship as I have seen during ex alumnus meet the ex students meets our faculties with so much warmth and they were mentioning that they are still in touch with their facilities. I hope I make such relationships with my faculties as not just to become engineers but their guidance can definitely solve a lot of life problems too.
 

Placement Rating
Placements are just iconic as one might speculate that who would come to valley for hiring but many large corporate houses are present during placement season. Getting a package of 10 LPA or more is very easy here as placements are truly iconic.
 

Hostel Rating
In all, there are 5 boys’ and 2 girls’ hostels are the campus. 1st year students though have to be sorry as a room with 4 to 5 seaters are the only ones that are provided to them. 80% students are outsiders and therefore this rule is actually little problematic. The rule is same for second year students too but come third year and then we can apply for single room too.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus is big and beautiful as it is close to 70 acres of land and gazing from any corner, one will find beauty around. Various blocks and ours are best as just 36 students in our class and therefore during breaks we literally sleep in the benches, as they are wide and long. There are two canteens at the campus and best part is not just the cameras all around the campus but also security is tight.
 

Campus Rating
For the first time in my life, I witness a tech fest, as Techvaganza our annual tech fest was outstanding. Students from various other institutes came and displayed talent, which I have not seen in my life. The same was our annual fest. The campus facilities for hostel students are opened until 12 as one canteen and one library we can access until then.

    National Institute of Technology, Srinagar is one of the premier educational institutes in the Northern Regions of the country. The institute is full of beautiful spots and scenery, here, serenity truly meets the technology. The view of Dal Lake is just breathtaking and with mountains at the background is just cherry on top.     NIT Srinagar is one of the most prestigious institutes of our country. It not only provides quality education but it also provides great real life experiences to the students.   • Serene campus life

    First of all, the institute is very beautiful as it is situated in the best part of Kashmir. You can feel every season here. The temperature rises up to 35 degrees but can even fall to -5 degrees in winter. You can enjoy snowfall on campus along with rain and autumn.
