Calcutta National Medical College Fees Structure & Courses 2026, Kolkata

One has to score good marks in NEET exam to get admission in this college. There are total 9 semester and 4 professional exams. For each exam one have to pay 4500 (including tuition fees). Also there is one time admission fees of 1000, caution fees 1000, registration fees of 3000. It’s good that there are some kind of scholarship and financial aids available. Stipend internship and Scholarships like SVMCM and Oasis are much popular here. Minimum 60 percent marks will be required for applying for SVMCM and Oasis. This is not for general category.

I chose MBBS, as it is one of the most fascinating job a human can imagine to be effective in society in terms of relieving human sufferings and give the most beautiful way to be respectful in a society. To be in the college, you need to be in top 16000 (air) aspirants who are appearing in NEET UG examination. Admission process is very straightforward. After achieving the needed rank, it takes only 1 day to complete the whole process in the same college. Semester examinations are taken 6 monthly but that is not the determinant of your academic performance. For your academic performance, there is one final examination every year, total 4 exams in 4.5 years. You need to secure 50% marks in every individual subject to pass the subject. This is a professional course so this gives us the overall knowledge to approach any case after the completion of the degree. The guidelines from the National Medical Council are followed all over the India as a curriculum of MBBS students. The examination occurs yearly according to the NMC guideline and conducted by the West Bengal health University.

I chose the course to fulfill my childhood dream of being a doctor and treating patients who are in the very bad stage of the life in a hospital bed. This is one of the best colleges to do so. The entry of this college requires a good rank in the NEET UG examination. You can get some profit if you have caste certificate like OBC, ST or SC or if you are physically challenged. Admission process of the college is very simple if you have a good rank in the NEET exam during your college selection procedure, you can choose this college and come to the college for documents verification. Later the process is very straight forward and it won’t take more than one day. Exams in this course is taken as per the guideline of National medical council. The exam is conducted by West Bengal health University at a frequency of 1 year. This is a skill and learning based program and in this course you are basically think how to treat a people in emergency condition as well as in elective basis. As a professional course this college teaches really well to tackle the patients very well.

The monthly fee of this college for academics is on the 750. You have total 9 semesters. Each semester duration is 6 months so there are total 45 months. The students need to pay admission fees of Rs. 5,000 in the beginning of 1st year. No other extra charges are taken from the college itself.
