SCIT Pune Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules

The first thing to mention SCIT is a residential college which means Staying in a hostel is compulsory though you belong to Pune. (I know it is a little tough for Natives but soon you will love being with friends)Hostel life is a fascinating one, and the canteen food is fantastic. We get food on a personal request from the cook as well. Rooms are spacious to accommodate 3 persons per room with personal cupboards and a study table provided. If students are planning to join in 2021, the hostel will have 2 persons per room as per covid terms and conditions.24 *7 hot water facility will be there. For boys, the hostel campus will be outside the campus with a distance of 1-2 Km of the walk. Since SCMHRD, SCIT campuses are interlinked students of both campuses can meet and exchange ideas and can have a lot of fun.Read Full Review

The hostel for SIIB, SCMHRD, and SCIT is shared and therefore you get the opportunity to interact with students of those colleges as well. Different wings of boys and girls hostel are made and both have a strong security that keeps things in check. The residential hostel is great as it is laced with all the facilities like a common area, clean rooms, and some sports activity as well. Now comes the difficult part as the college is slightly in remote area like there are not many shopping complexes or food joints around. Hence, the food provided by hostel is what with which you have to satisfy your cravings. I don’t know about the rest but my taste buds definitely didn’t appreciate the food that was provided. We did complain but nothing changed and the menu too was mostly common. The roadside tapris is where I had food mostly during those 2 years.Read Full Review

Hostel is not located at the campus but at a km or little more than that from the college campus. There are separate boys and girls hostel and the security at the hostel is jam packed. The last in-time is 11pm though but we are not allowed to enter at will if we are not on time. The hostel is shared by all the 3 institutes of Symbiosis that is SCIT, SCMHRD, and SIIB. The hostel was as lovely as the college as it had a student common area and indoor sports facility as well. There was a lawn outside the hostel and was the spot where all of us used to gather and end the day. Food was provided at the hostel but lacked variety. Hence, the food was ok types but other than that absolutely no complaints about it.Read Full Review
