Dr Ambedkar Institute of Technology was established in 1980 which is managed by Panchajanya Vidya Peetha Welfare Trust (PVPWT). The Institute is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi and approved by AICTE.
Dr. AIT Bangalore received the Autonomous Institution from the UGC. It is also accredited by NAAC and NBA.
The Institute has around 5 Schools including School of Core Engineering & Technology, School of Computer Science & Engineering, School of Applied Science & Humanities, School of Commerce & Management, and School of Electrical, Electronics Science & Engineering.

* For admission in any of the afore-listed Master’s programs, students are required to have at least 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examinations (5% relaxation for the students belonging to reserved category of Karnataka state only). Also, admissions in PG courses are based on the marks of the students in the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET).
* The UG program fee is for Management Quota students and the PG program fee is for students who are seeking admission in the Institute on the basis of PGCET. Fees for other quotas might differ from the mentioned one.
* Apart from the mentioned fees, students might have to pay some other charges.
Admission Process
