Sri Krishna Arts and Science College Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules, Coimbatore

The Sri Krishna Arts and Science College hostel facilities are available separately for boys and girls. The total accommodation capacity of the residential spaces is approximately 1230 students.

At the hostels of the Sri Krishna Arts and Science College, the residents are offered adequate amenities so that they can stay in a comfortable and safe environment. It includes fully-furnished rooms, mess, sports, gym, and so on.

The competent committees have laid down certain rules & regulations that are to be strictly followed by the boarders during their stay. Some of the norms are described below:

• Hostellers are forbidden from conducting any kind of political activity inside the residential spaces such as propaganda work, unauthorised meetings, fund collections, processions, etc.
• Ragging in any form in the SKASC Coimbatore hostel is intolerable and will be considered as a punishable offence under law. Also, the concerned residents may be suspended or expelled from the hostel.
• Students should not stay in the hostel during the College hours without genuine reason and a proper permission from the Warden / Principal.
• The guests and day scholars should meet the residents in the guest room; the visitors are not allowed to enter the hostel rooms.
• All the boarders must return to the Sri Krishna Arts and Science College hostel before the curfew timing i.e., 7:00 PM.
• Students should refrain from keeping valuables such as excessive cash, jewellery, etc. in their rooms. In case of any loss or damage of such personal belongings, the authorities will not be accountable.
• Boarders should keep their rooms and common accommodation spaces neat & tidy. Also, they should make certain that the hostel’s properties are used cautiously. For any kind of damage, the concerned hostellers may be charged a fine.
• During the stipulated study hours, residents are not permitted to make noise or disturb the fellow hostellers.

The College has 2 separate hostels for the male and female students; one of them is the ‘Hall of Residence Men’. The boys’ hostel is spread over a land area of more than 71,852 square feet whereas the girls’ residential premises covers 26,860+ square feet land area. There are around 110 rooms at the male hostel that can accommodate nearly 680 boarders. On the other hand, 150 rooms are available at the female hostel having an accommodation capacity of about 550 students.

The Sri Krishna Arts and Science College hostel rooms allocated to the students are spacious, fully-furnished and have bed, study table, chair, wardrobe, etc. Some of the rooms may have AC facility. The hostellers are provided with healthcare services by experienced medical professionals at the ‘Medical Centre’. Also, an ambulance facility is available for them in case of medical emergencies.

Playgrounds and gymnasiums are available for the residents so that they can spend their leisure time by engaging in active physical activities. CCTVs are installed in the hostel premises so that safety of the students can be ensured. Moreover, during holidays & weekends, transportation arrangements are made for the students.
