JNTU Hyderabad Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad provides residential facilities to the students in order to offer diverse cultural exposure and home-like living environment to them. The JNTU Hyderabad hostels are equipped with top-notch facilities which enhance the living experience of the residents and make their stay comfortable.

At JNTU Hyderabad, around 8 hostels are present out of which 7 are for domestic and 1 for International students. In addition, there are nearly 4 boy’s hostels and 3 for girls which can collectively accommodate around 2282 students.

The hostel authorities have implemented various rules and regulations in order to create a safe, disciplined, and conflict free living environment for the students. Moreover, the authorities take strict disciplinary actions against those who break any of these rules.

Some of the JNTUH hostel rules are stated below:

• Consumption of intoxicated substances (including alcohol, drugs, tobacco, etc.) is strictly forbidden inside the hostel premises.
• Hostel residents should not indulge in ragging or other such practices as it is considered a criminal offence.
• Students are advised to keep the valuable items or large sum of money at their own risk. In case of any loss or theft of such items, the authorities will not be liable.
• The hostel residents are not allowed to change the room once they are allotted by the authorities.
• The hostellers should report back to their respective hostels before the specified timings.
• Residents will be reliable for any kind of damage to the hostel property or infrastructure.

Around 4 JNTUH hostels are there for boys namely, Godavari’, ‘Krishna’, ‘Manjeera’, and ‘Kinnera’ which can collectively accommodate approximately 1300 students. On the other hand, the University has built nearly 3 hostels for females including ‘Kamala Nehru’, ‘Saraswathi’, and others with an overall accommodation capacity of around 982 girls.

Additionally, students opting for the hostels at JNTU Hyderabad Campus get access to furnished rooms with requisite amenities, reading room, computer room, etc. Moreover, a dining hall is present at the JNTU Hyderabad hostels to serve nutritious & healthy meals to the hostellers.

Apart from this, a TV hall is present for the entertainment purpose which enhances the overall stay of the students in the hostels. In addition, CCTVs are installed around the hostel premises to ensure the safety of the residents.
