The school of KIET Ghaziabad has multiple departments under which it offers B.Tech programs of 4 year duration in different specialisations. It also provides B.Tech (Lateral) entry in these specialisations.
The institute considers eligibility criteria of B.Tech according to the notifications or standards set in the JEE (Mains) brochure.
The entrance exam based on which KIET Group accepts admission in B.Tech courses is Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains. It is a National Level Entrance Exam conducted every year around India for the admission of students in engineering courses in multiple universities / institutes across the nation.
The institute regulates admissions in B.Tech programs through 2 different application processes. Candidates can apply through either of the below-mentioned processes as per their eligibility and preference:
Through JEE (Mains) Counselling:
Candidates who have fulfilled criteria set in the JEE (Mains) exam can apply under this scheme. The institute reserves approximately 85% of total B.Tech seats for these candidates. These seats will be filled through the JEE (Mains) counselling process.
Through Direct Admission:
Candidates who have not appeared in JEE (Mains) and interested in taking direct admission can take admission under this scheme. Their applications will be analysed based on the marks secured in PCM at 12th level. These candidates will be invited for Written Test and Personal Interview rounds at the campus. They will get admission based on their performance in these rounds. The remaining 15% seats will be filled up by the institute through direct admission.
Students of B.Tech programs who have secured a minimum of 85% marks from 1st to 3rd year in both the semesters will be awarded a monetary encouragement.
Top two students from 1st year B.Tech of each branch who have secured a high percentage in the 1st year as compared to the percentage in 12th PCM will get different monetary incentive amounts from the institute.
Top two students from 2nd and 3rd year B.Tech of each branch who have secured a high percentage in these years as compared to the percentage in 1st / 2nd will get different monetary incentive amounts from the institute.
