SSIET has a Training and Placement Cell which facilitates job opportunities to students in different companies. It conducts workshops, seminars and provides career counseling, industrial training, etc. to make students employable. SSIET is located on Delhi-Chandigarh highway / Chandigarh-Ambala highway at Dera Bassi. It is a pollution-free and lush green campus which is at a distance of 12 kms from Chandigarh Airport. It is centrally located from Panchkula, Chandigarh, Ambala, and Patiala. SSIET, Mohali was established in the year 1998. SSIET is one of the oldest and popular institutions in Punjab. Students are required to provide state and national entrance exam scores. Post Graduate students should have done under graduation with a minimum of 50% from any recognized university. The candidate applying for an MBA degree is required to give their MAT/CAT, GMAT or any other recognized management entrance exams.
The Institute has a modern library which houses more than 10000 books in various disciplines. A computerized catalog is used to access library information. SSIET subscribes to more than 70 National and International magazines and journals. The library is made in a separate block with a capacity of more than 100 students.
