Mithila Minority Dental College and Hospital Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules, Darbhanga

There are two separate hostel buildings, one for the girls and one for the boys. The boy's hostel was a two storey building. The annual fees of the hostel were around Rs. 1 lakh during my time but they have increased it now. Neither we had any installed room conditioner nor, were we allowed installing one. The rooms were two seated. They used to cut off the electricity supply during college hours. So if you are on sick leave it used to be torturous. Without any cooling system, it used to get very hot during the summers. We had water coolers on every floor. There was not any laundry system. As compared to the girls, we were allowed to go to the market every day. The mess food was just okay. We used to get milk at night. They have also decreased the frequency of non-veg per week. Recently, they have even stopped providing the evening snacks in spite of a hike in the hostel fees. It gets almost impossible for a student to change rooms. There are separate well- furnished hostels for both boys & girls. Hostel fee is Rs.1,00,000 to 1,30,000 /annum including mess. The food provided in college canteen is of good quality. We have a different range of foods served every day. They serve vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian dishes. There are water coolers installed on every floor of hostel. You can also do your laundry as the college provides you with a common washing machine.

The rooms are double or single seated and they are spacious. They will also provide you with personal table and chair. The rooms are allotted by the management & it’s not easy to change your room. They can ask you to change rooms whenever they want, but that doesn't happen often. It happened with me when I was in final year.Read Full Review
