VNSGU Surat Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules

The Veer Narmad South Gujarat University provides accommodation facilities for male and female students separately within the campus. Moreover, the students who are enrolled in PG & research programs and are living outside the radius of 40 kms from the University are given priority during the Veer Narmad South Gujarat University hostels’ admission process.

At VNSGU Surat, there are approximately 12 hostels (6 for each i.e., boys & girls) with different accommodation capacity, respectively. Moreover, there are around 2 hostels named as ‘SAMRAS’ run by the government, built specifically for the unprivileged students. The 6 boys’ hostels can accommodate more than 408 students overall whereas all the female hostels combinedly have an accommodation capacity of around 512 students.

Students opting for accommodation need to pay the VNSGU Surat hostel fee for the entire semester. Moreover, the mess charges need to be paid in advance every month. The VNSGU Surat hostel fees for male and female students is the same and ranges between Rs. 5800/- to Rs. 15,600/-.

The hostels of Veer Narmad South Gujarat University have made some rules to maintain the discipline among the hostellers. The students residing in the hostels need to abide by the rules and regulations. If any rule is violated, then respective authorities will take necessary disciplinary actions against the responsible student.

Some of the Veer Narmad South Gujarat University hostel rules are listed below:

• The hostellers must carry their University / Hostel Identity card while entering or leaving the security checkpoints of the hostel.
• The students are not allowed to change their allotted rooms without taking prior permission from the respective authority.
• The hostellers must go back to their allotted hostels before 8:30 PM.
• The hostel residents cannot keep any electronic appliances such as a stove, electric coils, etc. in their rooms.
• The students residing in any of the University’s hostels are not allowed to keep any expensive ornaments with them in their rooms.
• If any hostellers want to go outside the city, then they have to submit the reason and destination in a written format to the warden a day prior before leaving.
• The students who are doing a part time / full time job are not allowed to take admission in the Veer Narmad South Gujarat University hostels.

The Veer Narmad South Gujarat University hostels are equipped with modern amenities to provide a safe and supportive environment to the outstation students. Each room of the hostel has a bed, chair, table, cupboard, etc. Moreover, to ensure the safety of the students, CCTV surveillances are installed within the hostel premises.

To offer healthy and nutritious food to the hostellers, mess and canteen facilities are also available. It is to be noted that the VNSGU Surat Hostel fee for mess needs to be paid in advance every month. Also, television, telephone service, newspapers, etc. are also accessible to the students at the hostels.

Furthermore, the hostel authorities also conduct the co-curricular and extra-curricular activities such as cultural programs, tree plantation, annual functions, etc. to nurture the skills of the residing students at the hostels.
