The Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU), located in Surat, Gujarat was established in 1965. The State Public University is approved by UGC and AICTE. It is recognised by BCI, NCTE, Council of Architecture (COA), and accredited by NAAC. The University is ISO Certified.
The VNSGU Surat offers a diverse range of Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma, Certificate, and Doctoral programs and is known for its academics and excellence in research & development. There are around 27 departments / faculties under the Veer Narmad South Gujarat University; these include Faculty of Science, Faculty of Commerce, Faculty of Commerce, Faculty of Management Studies, and many more.

Admission Process
Interested candidates can apply for admission in the VNSGU Surat through online mode. Admission seats will be offered to the students on the basis of their merit marks in the respective qualifying examination.
*For B.A (Mass Communication), in case there are more applicants, then an entrance test will be conducted by the University and students will be shortlisted on the basis of their merit marks in the same.

The Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU) offers diverse scholarship schemes to the students to support their higher education. A scholarship scheme named ‘Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana (MYSY)’ is awarded in the form of Tuition Fee Waiver / Hostel Grant / Books or Instruments Grant to the students who are financially weak.

There is a Training and Placement Cell established by the University that acts as a connecting bridge between the departments & industries. It has industrial relationships with companies & organisations and works devotedly to provide career counselling to the students, groom and prepare them for the VNSGU Surat Placement opportunities.
The Placement Officer of the cell organises mock interviews for the students. Moreover, there are many Departmental Placement Cells in the University that facilitate Internship opportunities to the students.
The Departmental Placement Cells collaborates with the Training & Placement Cell and conduct the below-listed activities for the students:

The VNSGU Campus located in Surat is spread across an area of approximately 210 acres of land. The University offers state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities to the students to assist in their overall development. Wi-Fi connectivity & ICT enabled classrooms are available to provide an enhanced learning experience to the students. Moreover, adequate facilities for the differently-abled students are present in the premises like ramps, railing, lifts, etc.
