Coimbatore Medical College Coimbatore Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

The infrastructure of Coimbatore medical College has improved a lot. After the change almost 150 to 200 students are increased per year. There is an academic block for the academic purpose and new hostel blocks have been built. The laboratory has been newly constructed so all new facilities can be seen in the laboratory. There is new canteen coming up. The store facilities are also available in our college. Parking facility is there for steps and also students. Participation in sports activities are encouraged in our college. There is a huge ground where we can play football, cricket, badminton, etc. Various cultural activities also take place all the time.

There are various cultural and sports activities including annual fees sports competitions and clubs that allowed students to explore interest outside academics. It also helps us to engage in various activities like blood bank, NSS, etc. This is very supportive in that and also there is a separate cultural secretariat and sports secretary with whom we can interact and ask for chances and improve our social life. Academic block has good infrastructure, particularly audio system in our campus is very good. It has separate lecture halls for every year. Practical laboratory built for each subject is really good. Lecture hall accompany up to 300 students. Visual system was also good at Coimbatore medical college. Library opens every day till 7 pm in the evening. All kind of books are present in our library for study purpose and also for reference purposes at Coimbatore Medical College.

The campus life at Coimbatore Medical College was very good. Only negative thing is the distance between college and hospital. We travel every day from hostel to hospital every morning and return to college till afternoon, so it is difficult for us to have lunch within the limited time duration. In hospital so much of our patients come every day so we are studying different cases every day.Read Full Review

The campus comprises academic blocks and hostel blocks (separately for boys and girls). The infrastructure is very old since it was built in the 1960s but they have been renovated repeatedly. You have a library inside the campus with all the medicine related books of all authors. You can use it showing your college ID. The campus environment is green with good ventilated classrooms and auditorium for special events. The college has a separate government hospital with good exposure to all outpatients, but the only drawback is the distance between the college and hospital with half an hour travel.

Many cultural events are conducted each year by the students. The events include inter as well as intra college events. They also conduct sports meets each year between all the medical colleges. Most of the events are done by the student council with a separate club in charge to optimize the talents of each student. The classroom strength is around 200 in our college which may be increased to 250 in the future.Read Full Review
