NIT Silchar Reviews on Placement, Faculty, Hostel by Students

NIT Silchar is a good institute. I joined this institute through CSAB counseling. I selected this institute because of its placement record. This institute has better placement percentage than any other tier 2 institutes especially in core branches. Campus life of this institute also attracted me. In this institute, there are more than 25 lakes, which is very attractive. My 1st semester is passed and now I am in second semester of my first year. My overall experience of my first semester is average as few things are hectic. I got make some good and bad friends. Factor that made me choose this institute is that it lies in the northeast region of India and I wanted to experience its beauty. I also wanted to do engineering degree from India's best institute and got this in my counseling rounds. I am satisfied by everything we got here but few things can be improved. I am a student at NIT Silchar pursuing B.Tech in electronics and communication engineering. Overall my experience in NIT Silchar is good. I have made lots of friends here. The reason I choose NIT Silchar is that it is very close to my home town i.e. just 8 hours and the NIRF ranking is also good.
