NIFT Kannur Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

It is a circular campus with 8 floors. There is a basketball court, an amphitheatre, a workshop, and a canteen, apart from the main campus building. Each department has its own floor and its own labs and machines. Since some of the subjects are shared between departments, everyone has access to all floors. Although, you might need special permission to use some labs like the Garment construction lab or the studio for the safekeeping of equipment. All the labs have their own dedicated lab technicians who will help you with any help you might need during the process. So it is not just faculties that you will be learning from.

The events in NIFT Kannur are best. Since the institute is in Kerala, Onam is the biggest event of all. It is mostly organized by students and students usually try to make it the absolute best and grand event. There is a student organized event called Yugam, this is an exclusive NIFT Kannur event. It is a very fun inter-institute event where students from other institute participate. There is usually a concert, a DJ, food, and fashion stalls. Spectrum is also a similar event, all NIFT institutes have spectrum, there are two days to spectrum, the first day is an inter department event where the competition is between the departments and on the second day people from other institutes come and the event is inter institute on the second day. The campus is not huge, although the building has 8 floors and is moderate. The structure is big enough to accommodate the students and faculties and there are only limited seats provided in the institution. There are all the amenities required for the students belonging to various design courses within the institution. The classrooms are spacious with windows. There are labs and other facilities as well in the institute.

There are different fests and activities conducted by the institute. For example, spectrum, converge, etc. which are cultural / sports events or meets that takes place in different campuses across India in an academic year. This provides opportunities for the students to showcase their skills and earn valuable certificates in honor of their participation. There are clubs present, although only some are active. There is a student fest organised specifically in NIFT Kannur, called Yugam. The students are super friendly and it’s a crazy crowd to be around. The institute provides exposure to different cultures and people with different dynamics and it is a stand-out crowd altogether.Read Full Review

Kannur campus is the absolute best. It’s all in one big round structured campus. With 7 floors and a beautiful terrace with a pretty view, they also have garden in the terrace in the 8th and 1st floor. The most interesting thing is, you can be on any floor and you can see whole college. There is also an amphitheater and a fully air conditioned auditorium in the campus.

NIFT Kannur gives one of the best campus lives. Every Wednesday, there is a DJ thing that is only in NIFT Kannur campus. We also have a college fest conducted by the students where people from outside can enter the college with a big concert night and everything. The students count might be less but that adds a plus point too. Everyone will know everyone. There is different clubs that conduct different fun programs every week. They celebrate everything. And since it’s in Kerala, Onam celebration is something no one wants to miss.Read Full Review
