MDI Gurgaon Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

A 40-acre campus with ultra-modern facilities and surrounded by natural beauty was so soothing. The campus was Wi-Fi enabled and all the classes and library were air-conditioned. There were 2 canteens and one of them also served non-veg food items. Foreigner's life at the campus became enjoyable because of that. The college has as many as 3 playgrounds and one of them has been converted into a mini-golf course. MDI is thus the only college in India with a golf course. The classes and hostel rooms were tidy as the housekeeping of the college was quite active. One unknown fact is that there’s a basement at the campus that has officially been converted into a poker club. Not just the students but even some faculty come and play poker at the poker club at night.

It was as amazing as anything. MDI is located at a nice location and MGF mall was nearby. The lawn is there inside the campus. Thus, if you want to have a walk in the park, you can do that on the campus itself. If you wish to watch a movie then MGF mall was also nearby. College annual fest was covered by many prominent media houses. MDI Gurgaon is more happening than any nightclub in the city for sure.Read Full Review

An automated library close to the Gurukula was our second home. First obviously the hostel and second the library. It remained open for us all day and night. The campus was like a garden with some monuments in it. Every building on the campus was a monument. Inside, one can see all the modern technology, and from the outside, one can see the crafts of the artisans who have built these buildings. I loved every corner of the campus whether it was the library, sporting facilities, or the fantastic canteens of the campus.

For me classes and hostel because I was not so social and just joined the marketing committee. Our meetings were mostly done in the morning, and therefore I was free after the evening. The hostel rooms were so comfortable that I used to call my friends in the room and watch matches or play the guitar inside the room. Ask most B-School people and they will be crying on one thing and that is peanut size campus. The MDI Gurgaon Campus though was spread in close to 40 acres. I had some friends in IIFT Delhi and our Greens Library was bigger than their campus. IIFT don’t even have any sporting facilities at the campus as during events they had to rent facilities. More than that, they can’t even have their full batch stay inside the campus. I have spoken enough about them, so coming back to MDI, will start with Gurukula where our classes were held. Each student can have their own space in the green rooms as they were so big. Almost every morning, I used to see students flocking in the campus with cameras to have the best pictures in a picturesque campus. Best sporting facilities, best class rooms, best auditorium and some of the best canteens in Bhandari Bhaiya Canteen, Sharmaji Canteen, and JhaJi Canteen. Most students have left the college by putting on few extra kilos as their butter laden everything was so tasty, that health was put secondary.

I never played it but MDI is famous for its basement Poker Club. Students used to play poker and win and lose big as most students at the campus were quite rich. One thing for sure that even after leaving the college in 2019, I will always cherish the students meet, parties, movie screenings, fests, lawns and the Gurukula forever.Read Full Review
