The male & female students are offered with Ahmedabad University hostel near the campus. The rooms are available for nearly 1200 residents on a double sharing basis.

• The aforementioned hostel fees are to be deposited by the residents in two installments and are non-refundable under any circumstances. Also, the registration & bed charges once paid will not be returned.
• Apart from the fees given in the table, a security deposit of Rs. 20,000/- has to be paid that will be refunded as per applicable terms while vacating the hostel.
• It is mandatory for the students to avail the accommodation facilities for the whole academic year. If any student wishes to leave the hostel in between the session then also they are liable to pay the entire applicable amount.
• A sub-metre is installed in every room; based on its consumption readings for AC, the applicable electricity bill will be charged from the respective hostellers.
• If students wish to stay in a private room then they will be required to pay 50% more applicable fees. However, the room will be allocated to the concerned ones subject to availability.

The concerned authorities have laid down some rules and regulations that students are bound to follow during their stay at the hostels. Here are a few of those code of conduct:

• Ragging of any kind is not permitted inside the accommodation premises. Those found to be indulged in such practices will be punished as per the norms.
• There is a no-tolerance policy against the consumption & use of tobacco, alcohol, and drugs inside the premises of the residential spaces.
• Boarders should ensure that they maintain their allocated Ahmedabad University hostel rooms; if any act of vandalism is found then strict action will be taken against the defaulters.

There are 2 hostel complexes available for the students of the Ahmedabad University namely, ‘Student Village’ and ‘Student Village Annexe’. These are located within a distance of around 1 KM from the Ahmedabad University Campus and around 1200 boys and girls are accommodated in the same complex but on separate floors.

The Ahmedabad University hostel rooms are allotted to the students on a twin sharing basis with amenities like AC, attached washroom, cot, mattress, study table, chair, and an almirah. To make certain that the boarders receive a secure living environment round the clock, deployment of trained security guards, CCTV surveillance, door alarms, and biometric access systems are made available.
