MSU Baroda Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules

Around 16 MSU Baroda hostels (12 for boys and 4 for girls) are spread across an area of about 3 acres. Some of the hostels include ‘Jivraj Mehta Hall’, ‘K. M. Munshi Hall’, ‘Sarojini Devi Hall’, and others and these spaces in total can accommodate approximately 4900 students.

The hostels of the MSU Baroda include fully furnished rooms with necessary facilities like bed, table, chair, cupboard, etc. and are allotted to the students in single, double, triple, and other sharing basis. The yearly MSU Baroda hostel fees range Rs. 7000/- to Rs. 7200/- (inclusive hostel, development, electricity, and other charges).

For availing the accommodation facilities of the University, students need to apply online via the official website by paying Rs. 250/- as an application fee which is non-refundable. Also, the University’s hostel fees differ on the basis of room type opted by the students.

Inside the main MSU Baroda Campus, about 9 hostels for male students are present; some of these include ‘Jivraj Mehta Hall’, ‘Sardar Patel Hall’, ‘Vikram Sarabhai Hall’, and ‘Maharshi Arvind Hall’.

Alongside, in the Polytechnic campus of the University, around 3 hostels for males are available such as ‘Rabindranath Tagore Hall’, ‘Siddharaj Jaisinh Hall’, and ‘Sir M. Visvesvaraya Hall’. The boy’s hostel in total has space to accommodate about 2900 students.

For girls, approximately 4 hostels named ‘Hansa Mehta Hall’, ‘Sarojini Devi Hall’, and others are available. Also, all the girl’s hostels can hold around 2000 students.

The MSU Baroda hostel rooms for both boys and girls are allotted to the students in occupancies like single, double, triple, and quadruple. Also, in all the rooms, adequate facilities like bed, study table, cupboard, etc. are present for the students.

• Tiffin services from any private owners are not allowed for the hostellers.
