Candidates who look forward to taking admission at Aliah University have to clear the AUAT 2026. In order to appear for the entrance test, students have to complete their AUAT Registration 2026 through online mode only by navigating ‘aliah.ac.in’. After the closing of the registration portal no applications will be accepted.
Moreover, the application will be considered valid after the applicants will pay the Rs. 400/- (for male) or Rs. 300/- (for female), as applicable for a single paper code. Furthermore, students will be allowed to apply for a maximum of 4 programs (5 in case of females including B.Sc in Nursing) only.
The Part 1 of the AUAT Syllabus 2026 for every program differs as per the respective core subjects. However, for Part 2, the subjects to be prepared by all the candidates are the same. The basis of the curriculum for the entrance test will be in accordance with that of the qualifying exam of the applicable program.

The AUAT Exam Pattern 2026 states that the University level entrance test will be conducted for a duration of 120 minutes through offline OMR based mode and pen & paper mode, as applicable.
The test paper of the AUAT 2026 will comprise 2 parts for a total of 100 marks wherein Part 1 will contain questions from the Core Subject and from Islamic History and Culture, General English & General Knowledge in the Part 2. Additionally, in the OMR based test, 1 mark will be given for every correct response & -0.25 negative marking will be done from incorrect responses.
The paper pattern for some programs is given below:
For 5-Year Integrated BBA+MBA / B.Tech / BCA / M.Tech / MCA / LL.M / B.Ed / B.Sc (Nursing) Courses
For the aforementioned courses, there will be a total of 100 MCQs asked in the question paper wherein Part A & B will contain 70 & 30 questions respectively.
For B.A Hons. (English) & M.A (English) Courses
Students who have applied for admission in the B.A Hons. (English) / M.A (English) courses should be aware that the exam pattern for these is different. Applicants will be required to attempt a total of 86 questions out of which 84 will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) & 2 will be Descriptive Type Questions.
Applicants can download & take the print out of the AUAT Admit Card 2026 a few days before the exam date. The hall ticket can be accessed by visiting ‘aliah.ac.in’ and logging in at the Admission Portal using the User ID & Password.
The admit card for the AUAT 2026 will contain the name, photograph, address, signature, and category of the students. Along with this, the test date, time, and centre venue will be available on the same.
* In case there is any mismatch in the admit card, candidates should bring to notice of the AUAT Office promptly.
The AUAT 2026 will be held across different exam centres. Students have to choose the desired AUAT Exam Centres 2026 in the order of preference while filling-in the application form.
For the UG courses, the centres will be made available for the students across various towns & cities of the West Bengal state. On the other hand, for B.Sc (Nursing), B.Ed, and PG programs, the examination will be conducted in the Kolkata centre only.

Applicants are advised to include solving the AUAT Previous Year Question Papers as a part of their preparation strategy. Practising with the questions asked previously can considerably help the candidates in understanding the latest pattern & difficulty level of the paper. Additionally, relying on the previous year test papers can assist the students in boosting their overall confidence & perform better in the AUAT 2026.
Furthermore, aspirants should take the AUAT Mock Test 2026 to acknowledge their current preparation level. Practice or mock tests are designed to stimulate the real examination environment. Thus, attempting the mock test can help them in assessing their strengths & weaknesses and improve the same before the actual exam day.
The AUAT Result 2026 will be declared by the Aliah University (conducting body) some days later after the stipulated exam date. Additionally, a Provisional Merit List will also be released. The result will be available in the form of a Rank Card. To download the rank card of the AUAT 2026 exam, candidates can visit ‘aliah.ac.in’ and login at the Admission Portal using their Used ID & Password.
The merit list will be prepared based on the scores of the candidates in the AUAT 2026. Furthermore, a separate general merit list will be displayed for each of the academic courses / program codes and also for those who are Physically Challenged (PC) / Divyang / Person with Disabilities (PwD). On the basis of the rank & scores mentioned in the merit list, candidates can estimate the cut-off.
After the announcement of the result of the AUAT 2026, the qualifying candidates have to undergo a multi-step admission process. This will include counselling, publication of allotment list, and seat allotment including verification of documents & payment of requisite fee.
Students obtaining a valid rank in the provisional merit list have to attend the AUAT Counselling Process 2026 in person on the stipulated date & time. For program codes U14 & U21, counselling will be conducted for selection of the specific program / subject. For U08 & P08 codes, students have to opt for the study centre. The selection submitted by the students during counselling will be considered during the AUAT Seat Allotment 2026. The seat allotment will be based on merit in the Aliah University Admission Test.
After this, a provisional allotment list will be released. The shortlisted candidates have to pay the requisite admission fee before the deadline, and attend the document verification procedure on the specified date. After verification, the students’ candidature for admission shall be confirmed.
* If there is any mismatch in the documents / failure to meet the eligibility requirements / a delay in admission fee payment post deadline / neglect in attending the counselling process in person then, the admission of the concerned students will be cancelled. Also, the fees will not be refunded for those who have already paid the same.
