Academic Qualifications
For UG academic programs, students should have qualified 10+2 or its equivalent with prescribed subject combination as per the AUAT eligibility criteria 2026. In addition to this, candidates seeking admission in PG courses should have a Bachelor’s degree in specified discipline.
*It is to be noted that students who have passed the last qualifying test before 2024 will not be considered eligible for appearing in the admission test.
Qualifying Marks
The conducting body has specified 50 - 60% as the minimum qualifying marks for the students appearing in the entrance test for admission in UG programs. Moreover, candidates should have scored at least 45 - 60% marks in the last qualifying test as per the AUAT exam eligibility criteria prescribed for PG courses.
Age Limit

- Minimum Age Limit: There is no lower age limit specified, however, for B.Sc (Nursing), students should be at least 17 years old as of 31st December 2026.
- Maximum Age Limit: The upper age limit (as on 1st July 2026) varies for multiple courses and the details about the same are as follows:
- For B.Tech / BBA + MBA / B.A (Hons.) / B.Sc (Hons.) / BCA: 22 years
- For M.Tech: 27 years
- For MCA / M.Sc / M.A / B.A Hons. (Islamic Theology / Islamic Studies): 25 years
- For B.Ed / M.A (Islamic Studies / Islamic Theology): 30 years
- For M.A (Education): 32 years
*For a few courses like LL.M, no upper or lower age limit has been specified.
Nationality
Based on the AUAT eligibility criteria 2026, Indians, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), and Foreign students are considered eligible.

* Students who have qualified the aforementioned eligibility criteria can start with the AUAT Registration 2026 process.
The conducting body has reserved some seats for the students and the details of the same are mentioned below:
- For Physically Challenged (PC) / Divyang / PwD candidates, 4% seats are reserved.
- 5% seats are reserved for the students from Nursing course with a disability of locomotor to the tune of 40% to 50%.
- Supernumerary seats are available for the students of B.Tech and B.Sc Nursing program who belong to Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
- For the candidates from the WBJEE 2026 merit list, 20% seats in the B.Tech program are reserved.
- 50% seats are available for the students from M.Tech courses who have qualified GATE and 40% are for the internal candidates.
