NLAT Registration 2026 (Ongoing): How to Fill Application Form, Fees, Last Date, Documents

The NLAT registration 2026 process for the Phase 1 has begun from 28^th January 2026 onwards. Students wishing to appear for this phase should complete the registration at ‘nlat.nmims.edu’ before 22^nd March 2026. For Phase 2, the registration link will be activated on 23^rd March 2026 & the NLAT registration last date for the same will be 26^th May 2026.

The Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) fills the admission seats of the B.A.LL.B (Hons.) & BBA.LL.B (Hons.) courses available at the KPMSOL Mumbai and the NMIMS School of Law located at its various campuses based on the NLAT scores.
Students are supposed to finish the NLAT registration 2026 & pay the requisite fee to be considered for taking the University level entrance test.

The NLAT registration 2026 will be considered valid only after successful payment of the requisite fee. Candidates have to pay Rs. 2000/- after providing all details in the application form.

However, if they desire to retake the entrance exam then an additional fee of Rs. 2000/- has to be paid for each retake. Also, additional charges may be applicable depending on the payment method opted by the applicants.

• Net Banking
• Wallet

* Students should be informed that the application fee once paid cannot be transferred nor will it be refunded.

Finish the Registration

To register for the entrance examination without error, follow the below-given steps:

• The registration form will be available on the ‘nlat.nmims.edu’ webpage.
• Enter the following details in the form:
  • Name
  • Email Address
  • Mobile Number
  • State
  • City
  • Program
  • Specialisation
• Verify the provided mobile number by entering the OTP. Click on the checkbox to confirm declaration and then press on the ‘Submit’ tab to conclude the NLAT registration 2026 procedure.
• Post registration, the login credentials will be sent to the registered email ID. On the email, select the ‘Confirm Registration’ tab.
• A new page will open; on the same, choose the ‘Proceed’ option to receive the login credentials.
• Post this, the Username & Password will be displayed on the screen. Save the credentials to login and complete the further process. Also, the same details will be provided through email to the applicants.

Complete the Application Form

The application for the NMIMS National Law Aptitude Test (NLAT) will be validated after successfully completing the procedure mentioned below:

• Go to the official website and press on ‘Candidate Login’ tab. Then, login using the email ID & Password.

* If students have finished the registration beforehand, they can proceed directly with the login stage.

• In the NLAT 2026 application form, choose the ‘Manage Application’ button to start the application process.
• Click on the declaration and fill the fields given under the following sections:
  • Basic Information
  • Family’s Details
  • Address for Communication
  • Academic Details
  • NMIMS Details
• Give 5 preferences for the desired program available at various campuses from the dropdown list. Choose the retake option for the NLAT Exam 2026, if needed.
• Accept the displayed Terms & Conditions and then choose the ‘Save for Later’ button to save the provided details or ‘Next’ tab to move ahead.
• In the new page displayed, select the ‘Previous’ button to go back to the application form or ‘Preview’ tab to check the details of the filled-in form or ‘Proceed’ option to lock the details provided & complete the remaining process.
• Afterwards, the application number will be generated & displayed on the screen. Ensure to save the same for further reference.
• Click on the ‘Pay Registration Fee’ option to complete the payment process.
• At last, after successful payment, students can book the desired slot and opt for the desired test centre between the stipulated timeline.

The password for logging in at the application portal can be recovered after finishing the NLAT registration 2026 by following these steps:

• Choose the ‘Forgot Password?’ button on the Login page.
• A new page will open. In the space provided, provide the Username and then press on the ‘Reset Password’ tab.
• A link will be sent to the registered email ID to reset the password.
• Click on the link and create & confirm the new password. Select the ‘Change Password’ option to complete the process.

Applicants should be careful while they complete the NLAT registration 2026 so that they do not violate any norms; some of such aspects are stated below:

• At later stages if it is found that students have provided incorrect details then, such individual’s candidacy will be nullified.
• Candidates are strictly instructed to register only once for the exam. Multiple registrations for the same exam category will result in the debarment of such students’ admission.
• Once the registration form has been submitted, students will not be allowed to cancel the same under any circumstances.

The application form will contain several fields wherein the applicants will be required to refer to their official documents.
