Academic Qualifications
According to the requirements stated for the NMIMS National Law Aptitude Test (NLAT), students should have completed 10+2 / equivalent.
Special Notes to Consider:
There are certain examinations that will be considered equivalent to 10+2 in accordance with the regulations mentioned in the NLAT eligibility criteria 2026. The information regarding the same is as follows:
- Candidates with a Diploma from International Baccalaureate (IB) Board will be considered equivalent to 10+2 examination provided, they have confirmed 24 Grades / Credits compulsory and have passed 3 subjects at Higher Level (HL) and at Standard Level (SL) each plus extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge (TOK).
- Applicants who have passed a Diploma Program (DP course) from International Baccalaureate (IB) Board will have equivalence to the 10 +2 with 2 subjects at Higher Level (HL) and at Standard Level (SL) each OR 3 subjects at Standard Level (SL) and 1 subject at Higher Level (HL).
- IBCP equivalence for General Strand (Arts, Commerce, Science, Law): Students passing the Career related Program (CP) course from International Baccalaureate (IB) Board will be considered given, they had 2 DP subjects with at least 1 subject at Higher Level (HL) and minimum 3 points in each DP subject. Additionally, it is necessary to complete at least 3 Career Related Studies (CSR) courses given by IB-approved partners, such as the World Academy of Career Program.
Qualifying Marks
The minimum passing marks required to be obtained in the last qualifying exam is 50% aggregate marks as specified in the NLAT eligibility criteria 2026.
Age Limit
Based on the NLAT exam eligibility criteria, there is no age limit set for the students to appear for the exam.
