Jain University has the best set of methods to develop students personality

The college where I got my graduate degree from is Jain University. I took the bachelor’s of computer applications course, and I chose to attend this college because of its prestigious name and reputation. One more reason that I chose to attend here is because it’s located in Bangalore, and it was one of my dreams to live in this city. Going to this college provided me with a good academic experience, and even better ‘student life’. The college is in the top 100 best universities in all of India according to the World University Rankings. One more ranking it holds is being 85th in India in the NIRF ranking.
I got admitted after writing the entrance exam of the college into the Bachelors of Computer Applications course. After the entrance exam, there are two rounds of interviews to be admitted here. In the first round, I sat with 8-9 other potential students, and then the second round was an interview which was one-to-one. The interviewer asked questions like about my future plans and why I chose this course.
You can choose this course if you are interested in gaining knowledge about stuff like computer networks and how exactly a computer is organized. Also, you will get to know coding and have exposure to actual projects that are going on and you can gain practical experience. There are a total of six semesters that you will have to complete.
Coming to the teachers, I would say that about half of them are helpful. One thing that you need to do is approach to the teachers because if you don’t, they won’t care about you. There are hundreds of students that they oversee, so teachers don’t really get involved in your life unless you make an effort and ask for their help. This is also nice in a way, because in smaller colleges, sometimes teachers get too involved and give unnecessary tension. Even if you don’t talk so much with the teachers, I recommend you to approach a few of the senior teachers, because they can give you tips on good opportunities for practical experience. Most of the teachers in Jain University Bangalore have Masters, and almost all of the senior teachers have gotten their PhDs.
I came to this college for the reputation of the academics, but one other reason that many people come here is purely because of the placements. This college has a really awesome placement cell, and they get hundreds and hundreds of companies every year to hire their students. The placement rate in my batch was 85% which is really high when compared to most colleges. The average starting package that most of my classmates got was Rs. 5-6 lakhs per annum, which is a good salary considering that we were fresher's. The highest package that one girl in our class got was Rs. 21 lakhs per annum. She was hired by IBM. Some of the other companies that come to our college are HP, Dell, and Accenture.
One unique thing about this college is that there are hostels that are on the campus as well as ones located outside of campus. There are separate hostels for boys and girls, and both of them come with cleaning services and food every day. There is also security that stays at the hostel all day and night long. Their number is also posted in each room in case you have to contact them. This was definitely something that made me feel secure. Staying in hostel in college was my first time being away from home, and the hostel experience I had at Jain University’s hostel really was a good one. Most of the staff is very kind, and they treat the students with a lot of respect.
This is a fairly old college, and hence there are many facilities that are available. We have a library, a clinic, a Xerox centre, badminton court, basketball court, pool tables, table tennis tables, swimming pool, hostels for boys and girls, an amphitheatre, and two auditoriums. The library is five floors, and it is the place that students from all different branches come when exam time comes. It gives us a quiet and nice atmosphere to concentrate. Coming to the auditoriums, one of them is used mainly for hosting events like different competitions and fests. The other one is smaller in size, and it is mainly where we have our final exams in. Our college is known for sports, so we have courts for nearly all types of sports.
I am happy that I chose this college to get my education in. I had some of the best opportunities because I went here, and thanks to this college, I was placed and now am a manager in that company. If you choose to come to this college, I would say to get into the sports and cultural fests also. There are over 5 Olympian alumni that hailed from this college, and the college has hired some really good coaches. I was part of the basketball team, and we even got to go play matches in other states. Coming to fests, we have many scattered throughout the year. So, there is always something for everyone.
College is one of the major parts of our life. We as a student look forward to gaining knowledge as well as exploring our personalities. Holding a degree from a prestigious and reputed college provides us with many secure future opportunities. We students have our dream luxurious life and college is the first stair to reach that goal. Getting into Jain University was one of my best decisions. I feel proud to say that I did my MBA from this university. This university not only helped me to learn ... Read Full Review
