My Review on Indian Institute of Technology, Dhanbad

Overall Rating
First of all it should be remembered that it's ISM before IIT. Overall experience is better. As a South Indian I felt difficult to connect with Hindi language and also to the food as most of our diet is filled with potato. The experience about studies is good. If you feel like difficulty in understanding YouTube videos are also available.
 

Academics Rating
The eligibility criteria for IIT ISM Dhanbad is through JEE advanced. First of all we need to keep all the colleges best on our marks in JOSAA counseling based on your marks and rank you will be getting into this college of your rank matches with the rank provide by the college. I say that petroleum engineering and mining engineering have lot of opportunities of job.
 

Faculty Rating
According to the academics syllabus is studied in depth and papers are also tough. But we can study through lectures and through PDFs. Coming to the professor I personally felt that professors are teaching good but when it comes to assistant professor they are not that good at explanation and we feel some difficulty in understanding.
 

Placement Rating
Coming to the placements there are lots of opportunities like interns, pre placement offers, etc. Whatever is the branch first important thing is that companies see CGPA so need to study well.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel facility is good. Satisfied.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Actually buildings are old because it was built in 1926. But the campus environment is very good with all the trees around. There are many places. Especially Central Library. It is very big and can be studied very peacefully without any disturbance. All the facilities are good regarding the campus. Firstly we feel campus as big but later on we feel as short.
 

Campus Rating
Coming to co curricular activities IIT ISM is very active in all these. There are many fests and clubs in the campus. Students are selected in to the clubs through their performance in auditions and workshops and there are two big fests and many small fests known as Concetto and Srijan. There are also many opportunities in technical events.

    I have experienced a good atmosphere at this university, which helps me to have self-confidence. I opted for this institute as it is in the middle of the town unlike other institutions, which were quite in the outskirts of cities. It also has great facilities like any other IIT and so helps in boosting one's career. It is quite famous and old. It was established in 1926 and so soon, it is going to have a century....     Our institute is one of the oldest institutes with an NIRF rank of 15th in engineering category. It recently was labeled as IIT. The existing institute campus area is about 218 acres consisting of 15 hostels occupied by students enrolled in various courses (Ph.D, B.Tech, M. Tech, etc). Also, there is a Student Activity Centre (SAC) which allows students interested in sports / acting / singing / dancing / swimming to engage themselves in their hobbies.   • Reasons to Choose ECE at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad

    For me, I have just completed my first semester here and starting to fall in love with my institute. The rain and the red color of ISM combine to probably give the best view. Not very big campus but still it seems largest when you are running late for the labs and classes. RD, Mehzban, Dominos, Barista are there to address the food craving monster inside you.     Generally all know Indian Institute Technology is the best colleges in India which we get after clearing JEE advanced exam. Indian Institute of Technology which is also called as Indian School of Mines is a better college for future and has good scope in the future.
