IMS Engineering College B.Tech Review By Shivika Gupta

My experience of IMS Engineering College is remarkable and outstanding. I have appeared for JEE exam and got admission in college through JEE counseling. During my preference choice, I have consulted with many people including my elders, my elder cousins and other experienced relatives on how to select my list of colleges. At that time I get to know about IMS, they told me it has better facilities as compared to other colleges and stand in top 5 college of NCR region so I chose this college and I must say it is really good college and provided a very nice and competitive environment to me which helped me in improving my skills.

I am currently pursuing Bachelors of Technology (B.Tech) in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) in IMS. It is a well known course in today's era and its popularity and demand was grown during Corona pandemic. Students prefer this college for many reasons but for me it was due to my keen interest in technology and math field. Eligibility criteria is to get at least 60% in 12th class and appearance in JEE or any other exam. There are simple formalities of document and other requirements but you can get help easily during orientation or during college visit. Teachers are also quite helpful.

My experience of faculty of B.Tech course in IMS is quite nice as the teachers who have guided me through my academics and extracurricular activities are highly qualified in their respective subjects. All teachers are highly qualified and helpful during my whole first year. Even during practical classes I have learned a lot. Their teaching style is very good as they try to connect with us through our daily life experience.

Yes, we have CDC (Career Development Council) in our college. They always interact with us and teach us how to apply for jobs and competition. They tell us about current demand of market and focuses on improving our communication skill.

Yes, we have one girl’s hostel and four boy’s hostels. Their facilities are very nice. Their food menu is quite accommodating. Their infrastructure is better than other college’s hostel. Their facilities include Wi-Fi and other things but I personally liked their security system.

My campus life is commendable. You will get to know many people from various regions. We have many clubs in our campus which include coding clubs, robotics club as well as creative clubs. Here we get DJ nights, Deepotsav and Dandiya nights for hostellers. Events like celebrity nights, fresher’s, inter college tech fest, and many sports fest are also organised every year in which one can participate and win different prizes. If you will try to engage in these activities, you are going to have a very outstanding and nice campus life.
