Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College B.Tech Review By Khushi Vishwakarma

I am a 4th year student in Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad. In this college there is a lot of discipline rules and all students are required to follow those and if anyone fail to do so you will be punished with fine or reduction in your marks. There are classes from 8:30 to 4:00 PM with two breaks in between. One is between the lectures for 50 minutes and other one is for lunch. You need to do hard work on your own to get something out of this college. In the fourth year you will get opportunities but you grab them or not that will only depend the hard work you have done in your starting three years of B.Tech.

I am in CS branch and I got into this college through UPSEE exam. Currently this exam is not happening anymore so the eligibility criteria is JEE exam and you can have management seat also if you have good marks in your 12th class. If you want good infrastructure join this college, and else is depend on your own.

There are all types of faculty here who knows very well of their subject and the ones who are just teaching because they are told to teach that subject. If you want to learn something you need to do it on your own and you need to find good teachers by asking your seniors. You can go to their cabin and ask your doubts. It is up to you how much you can extract from them.

Yes, there is a Training and Placement Cell in the college which is responsible for all the placement activities in the college. It helps to get the recruiters and students get placed in the companies.

There are 2 hostels for boys and 3 girls’ hostels in the college area. First year students are kept separately and there is no ragging culture in the college.

There are different blocks for different departments in the college such as ECE block, mechanical block, computer science block, etc. The campus of college is very good and green everywhere, it is always clean. There are two canteens in the college. There is one amphitheater in the college. Library is also available in the college, girls can be there till 8 PM and for boys, maximum timing is 11 PM. There are two seminar halls in the college. Overall campus is very good. If infrastructure is your concern, it is the best choice among all AKTU colleges.

Campus life depends on the student itself. There are multiple clubs for different things. There are cultural societies and technical as well in the college. Euphony is for singing, goonj is the dramatics society, footprints is for cultural activities, taal is for dance, and much more. But you need to participate in the auditions to be a part of it and you can only enjoy your college if you are a part of any club if not your 4 years will be going to spend only in classes and exam halls. Crowd is decent here in the comparison of other colleges. But there are very less number of fests in the college so be a part of any club because they go to different colleges for taking part in their events.
