Review on Vidyasagar University, Midnapore

Overall Rating
This institute is very good and since it is a government University, it is also very pocket friendly in terms of college fees and hostel fees. Infrastructure wise also it is a very good place. University has a good name. That's why I was interested in taking admission in this institute.
 

Academics Rating
To get chance in M.Sc microbiology, that I am doing, one has to be in any field of biology and pass with 50% marks. But as there are 37 seats only, that's why if the percentage is above 85% then the chance is very high. Also, there are 80% seats reserved for Vidyasagar University students, and 20% for other universities.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty is very good and teachers who come to teach us have a Ph.D degree. They also teach in English language and this helps a lot. The teachers are highly knowledgeable and have in depth knowledge of the subject they teach, and this is the best thing about the University. Some guest teachers and Ph.D scholars also take a few classes.
 

Placement Rating
We do not have any placement offers or campus placement.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is good. It has Wi-Fi and food is also good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure and buildings are really great, it doesn't seem like you're in a government college. It seems to be a private institute due to cleanliness everywhere. It maintained electronic items, fans, air conditioners, etc. Also it has Wi-Fi connection and a computer lab for bioinformatics.
 

Campus Rating
The campus is generally crowded. There are different clubs in our university. The clubs are all active and the fests are also organised by these clubs. There are different clubs like literally club, robotics club, cultural clubs, biology clubs, yoga clubs, sports clubs, and many others. We also have other regional fests.

    Outside of main Midnapore Town, Vidyasagar University has a fresh atmosphere. No problem of noise and disturbance in the campus. Being a rural University this university is still growing and the administration and faculties are trying their level best to create better opportunities for students.     When I'm talking about Vidyasagar University you can't imagine its campus size and beauty. When any student first enters the university, they see and tell that God is really present here. The garden and the flowers gorgeousness just unbelievable. I chose this University because it is near my hometown and better not more than Jadavpur and Calcutta University but yes it's good....
