A Brief review on IIITDM

Overall Rating
There is a friendly environment in the college between seniors and juniors. Transportation facilities like bus and auto are easily available here. Students are provided with Ethernet ports in each room which has up to 1Gbps speed. Spacious rooms are given for students during 1 and 3 year with double sharing. Second year students need to adjust with moderately spacious room. Fourth year students are given single rooms.
 

Academics Rating
IIITDM is a unique college which offers degree with nice blend of design in Engineering. The Design course is mandatorily offered to all students till the third year. Some people may dislike it though. Most of the faculty here has their Ph.D from IIT's. Exams here are moderately difficult. There are multiple Computers labs with nearly 100 computers.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties in the college are highly educated. Most of them have completed their Ph.D from IIT's. You can even go to their cabin for doubt clarification. They are ready to assist you in case you want to do any projects or research. You can even design/prototype products through design labs; there are faculties for the design course who help you in this regard.
 

Hostel Rating
There are three 14 storied hostels for students. All the hostel floors maintain hygiene. There is dedicated staff for cleaning the floors. Boys are given rooms with sharing between two people. People who get higher floors can enjoy the view from their balcony.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is very nice in the college. There is also an Academic block, Administration block, Laboratory, Three storied Mess, and a Sports complex for the students. The Arjuna sports complex also has a Gym with various equipment and trainer. There is also a cafeteria and departmental store for the students.
 

Campus Rating
College life here is fun. You can easily manage to pass the exams with decent grade and enjoy the campus life. There is a lot of greenery in and outside the college. You can have good breakfast in cafeteria if in case you missed it in the mess.

    It is a Private Autonomous Institute. Presently, I am in 3rd semester, I am still exploring the IIITDM Kancheepuram, but I say what I felt here. In the starting, I do not like the Institute, I think due to homesick. However, I opened up myself I experienced 1 year here, what I have to say, here will be good infrastructure, labs, friendly facilities, playground, supportive coordinators.     My experience at IIITDM Kancheepuram is good so far. It is one of the best Institutes. The infrastructure, hostel facilities, everything is great here. I have chosen this Institute particularly because of the academic performance and that is why the placements are also good. It is mandatory for all the students to maintain 85% of attendance....     My overall experience in the campus of IIITDM Kancheepuram has been good. The faculty members in the Institute are very intellectual and helpful. They help us every time and keep motivating the students. The curriculum of the course is very good and structured. The labs are fully-equipped with all the required machineries.     Campus life is overall good. I wrote JEE in 2023 and got onto IIITDM Chennai. My overall experience is good. I chose this particular institute as it was only institute that provides Smart Manufacturing course in Southern part of India.     I want to adapt to the culture of Tamil Nadu which has a lot of temples. It is also near to my home state and that makes it easy to travel for me. These factors made me choose this Institute.
