First of all entering any college for the first time is all of a different experience. Secondly you get such a college after clearing JEE mains exam which is not that easy. So yes it makes you contented. One should surely give it a priority as it is a NIT and you will get a good exposure of everything. One could shape his or her career well if he comes here. Also placement opportunities are very well. For this you need to work hard and clear the JEE mains examination.

My course is B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. Entry requirements are that you need to have minimum of 75% marks in your 12th board and secure a good. Rank in JEE mains. Most of the facilities are available here that would help you to up skill yourself. Although that depends on the person but yes opportunities that matter.

Faculty here is highly qualified. Most of them are either graduated from IITs, NITs, or even hold a degree from foreign institutes. Coming to their style of teaching, some are very good, some are average, and some do not sound too good. For most of them you can say they are ok. At the end of day you have to study by your own. Seniors notes or YouTube content will help you to prepare for your exams. Exams are held 2 times a sem. One mid sem and one end sem. You can score very well even if you start study seriously before 10 days of the commencement of exams.

Yes, we do have a Training and Placement Cell which works very effectively as far as I know. Our placement records are also very good. Although this year, due to recession companies visiting the campus have decreased a lot. But that is the case everywhere Even In Iits. Apple, Google, Amazon, Oracle, Goldman Sachhs, etc. are the top average placement of CS is 22 lakhs (83% placed). For ECE it is 18 lakhs (90% placed). For Electrical -14-15 lakh (80%). For Mechanical -10-11 lakhs (88%).

Yes, we do have a hostel facility. There are 14 boys’ hostel and 2 girl’s hostel. Infrastructure of the newly built hostels is fine but for the other it is not good. Triple occupancy for freshers and single room from second year is provided. There is no problem of water, electricity but yes there is no washing machine in boy’s hostel so you have to wash them on your own. Hostel life is pretty good we have badminton courts in our hostel. Also we sometimes play cricket. Every year Hostel week is organised where various tournaments are held. Coming to mess food that is very much unsatisfying. A time comes when it becomes intolerable. Quality, taste nothing is good.

Infrastructure is very well versed. The college is located in one of the prime locations of the city. Airport is at a distance of 2 km. Academic block (Prabha Bhawan) is very well made. Although your queries are not solved in the same manner. There is a student welfare department but that also is ignorant of the student’s problem. The lecture hall (Vivekananda Lecture Hall) is well equipped and is Asia's largest lecture hall. All the classrooms are fully air-conditioned. There is a Open Air Theatre which also has MIG -18 Aircraft. There is a central lawn where many events are held. Overall there is greenery all over the campus and it is clean also.

Overall campus life can be rated as average. There are many clubs like Think India, Mavericks, Debating Club, Entrepreneurship Club, Film Making Club, Alcom, etc. There are two fests held every year. Sphinx (August month) and Blitz Schlag (February month). Many cultural and Technical events take place like Fancy dress show, hackathon events, robo wars, car show, etc. Apart from these, department day of every branch take place. Other events are also organised.
