Life at College of Engineering Trivandrum is pretty good. Campus life is amazing with good friends and friendly atmosphere. I chose this college because of my seniors who told me about the good amount of placements and fun campus life at this college. If you are looking for good placements then you should definitely choose College of Engineering, Trivandrum.

The course I opted for was Applied Electronics and Instrumentation. It is only available in a few colleges. If you get a rank in the range of 4k or 5k, then you can easily get enrolled in this course. I took this course because I was deeply interested in electronics and mathematics. This course is the same as electronics and communication, except the communication part.

The faculties in this college are very efficient and hard working. They are very friendly and supportive towards the students. Most of them are alumni of this college. They are highly qualified with graduate degrees and a good teaching background. They guide us into a better future and career development by molding us on our every step.

Placements are the main highlight of this college. We have a Placement Cell on our campus. More than 500 companies visit our college every year. Almost every student gets placed from our college. There is high competition but the annual package ranges from about 3 LPA to 15 LPA. Most of the students also opt for higher studies after graduation.

There are separate hostels for both men and women. Women's hostel is located on the left and the men's towards the right. Both are good and hygienic with good hostel facilities. Food and mess is provided along with the best rooms and attached bathrooms. There are separate blocks for juniors and seniors. Cultural activities like LH day and MH day are the main recreational activities of these two hostels. Also, there is a hostel union that is present to address any needs or problems in the hostel facilities.

There are many blocks on each side of the college. Each department has its own block. The main block in the centre of the college is the mechanical department block, this is where the college office, the principal’s office, etc. are located. Behind this block, there is the main library of our college. Canteen and food area are located near the civil department. Also CS, electronics, electrical, and industrial department blocks are located on each side of the college. Canteen and food area are the main hang out spots.

Campus life is the best at this college. There is a huge number of hang out spots in our college where we can chill out with our friends. Our main cultural fests include: Disha, Dhwani, and Drishti. Disha is mainly the fresher’s fest, Dhwani is the main cultural fest, and finally Drishti is the technical fest of our college. Sports and fun activities are conducted in the indoor sports area and also on the main ground beside it.
