Excellence in Engineering at SJEC

Overall Rating
I chose this institution as it is one of the most famous ones in the city. The college has a beautiful campus surrounded with greenery. They also conduct an exam for the minority students which makes it easier for the minority students to get admissions. This college has all the facilities for students like hostel, library, a cafeteria, canteen and a lot more. SJEC also has the most welcoming and approachable faculty who are always ready to help you solve your doubts. It's also equipped with a lot of labs and huge and spacious classrooms.
 

Academics Rating
I have take Computer Science and Engineering. To enroll into this college, I needed to write a minority exam. This helped me get admission in this college. The syllabus of this exam was similar to the syllabus of CET exam. I wanted the CSE field as it was very much in demand. Though it was a little hard to get into this field; I made it as my 12th marks were above 90%.
 

Faculty Rating
Our faculty is very welcoming and approachable. Every time I am in need of any assistance, I can rely on them for help. The teaching methods are always made interesting and fun for the students. We have also been assigned one mentor per fifteen students. These mentors not only guide us in our academics but also help us in our personal life too. They are always there to guide when you are in any trouble.
 

Placement Rating
I am still in the second year. I don’t know much about the placement department. Our college conducts placements every year. The highest package is known to be 24 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Our college has a hostel for both boys and girls. There are also rooms having air conditioners. The hostel has a lot of facilities like clean drinking water, a mess serving all three meals a day, and more.
 

Infrastructure Rating
SJEC has a very beautiful campus with a lot of trees and greenery around the entire campus. There are three academic blocks and one block containing the library and CCC. There is also a cafeteria and canteen for the students with a lot of options for food and drinks. Our college also has an amphitheatre where students can chill during their free time and an auditorium called kalam auditorium. We also have a lot of labs and classrooms to make teaching easy.
 

Campus Rating
There are a lot of clubs in the college for students with different kinds of interests. We have all kinds of sports and also the NCC. Some of the clubs are synergy, aero, ARC, crescendo (music club), and many more. There are selective fests conducted every year like Tiara (technical and non-technical competitions), milan (traditional day), and sports day. Various clubs always conduct various hackathons for the students to increase their problem solving skills.
