Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, formerly KIIT University, is a private university-affiliated institute in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. KIIT, although being a relatively new institution, has scored exceptionally well in rankings conducted by several national and international groups. Founded in 1992 and inaugurated five years later as a center for higher study, its dedication to teaching quality earned it university accreditation. Within seven years of its establishment, the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India established it under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 in 2004. For this achievement, it holds a Limca Record. The University has got the Institute of eminence award & number one among the private education Indian Universities by MHRD, India. Times Higher Education (THE) 2021 ranks Emerging Economics Universities 251-300. KIIT BBSR has its own entrance examination, KITTEE, for the selection of students into various courses. The college management does a lot of work & gives their best efforts for taking in the students & giving the best of the facilities to them.
I have joined Ph.D. at KIIT Deemed to be University. Any student who wants to join the Ph.D. course here should go through an entrance examination, KITTEE. The students who have a M.Sc. degree from a recognized college & have scored more than 60% in the course can apply to give the entrance exam. The scope of work, opportunities & the college infrastructure moved me a lot to join this course. Yes, This course will be very much helpful to land me a decent job.
Only in the school of applied sciences, where I am doing my Ph.D., are there more than 30 faculty members. Over 2500 academic and research personnel, Many top leaders in their specialties provide a vibrant learning atmosphere and outstanding teaching standards. All of the teachers here are highly experienced and certified, having graduated from prestigious institutes in India and around the world.

With 195+ top-tier organizations distributing over 4379+ jobs offers to a batch size of 3500 eligible students in the academic year 2020-21. 35% of students were placed in great companies with average CTCs of Rs. 6.50 lacs or higher, with 20 companies offering CTCs of Rs. 10.00 lacs or more. Amazon offers the highest salary of Rs. 30.00 lacs. Approximately 100 companies provided CTCs of Rs. 5.00 lacs or higher.
There are separate hostels for boys and females, with wireless internet and intranet access available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Air conditioning is available in about 30% of the hostel rooms. All of the hostels have their own canteens that provide high-quality Indian and Continental cuisine. Foreign students are housed in a special international hostel. Every hostel features a reading area that is open 24 hours a day, as well as space for indoor and outdoor games. The hostel inmates have access to a clean kitchen and dining hall, as well as high-quality food. The security system of all the hostels is top-notch.
