Honest Review of VITAP

Overall Rating
Vellore Institute of Technology, Amaravathi is a great institute for students who got above average marks/ rank in their VITEEE. VITAP has good infrastructure with experienced faculty who have their doctorates from IIT's and NIT's. It also has all kinds of extracurricular activities which help students very much for their physical and mental well being. VITAP has 2 Academic blocks, 1 Central Block, 5 Men's Hostels and 2 Ladies Hostels. The hostels are very clean and well maintained, the hostel food is above average, as many varieties are provided but there will be no spices in the food.
 

Academics Rating
VIT AP has Fully Flexible Credit System FFCS, where the students can select the courses they want to do in the upcoming semester, along with the preferred faculty and slot. Total of 160 credits should be done. Coming to Electives, the student can choose their preferable subjects up to 32 credits. Full flexibility of the curriculum is given to the student which helps them to complete the required credits with ease.
 

Faculty Rating
The entire faculty who teach at VIT AP should have a doctorate. And most of the faculty has done their doctorate i.e. Ph.D's from IIT's, NIT's and IIIT's, which are considered to be the best institutes of the nation. The faculty is very friendly and is ready to help the students whenever they need them. Faculty always inspires students and motivates them to be productive by guiding them to write research papers, articles and publish patents.
 

Placement Rating
The Placement cell in VIT AP is considered to have connections with many companies. VIT has centralized placements where the students can give their placement interviews for all companies irrespective of their campus. Around 600-800 companies come to VIT every year for recruiting fresh minds of VIT AP.
 

Hostel Rating
VIT AP has some of the best hostels when compared to other colleges. The hostels in VIT AP are well maintained and are always clean. Every hostel has a gym, veg & non veg and special mess categories, a laundry and much more. There are 2 sharing, 4 sharing, 5 sharing, 8 sharing and 15 sharing rooms available for the students. The hostels are on the expensive side, a 2sharing ac room with veg mess costed me around 1, 65,000 per year.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Among the Colleges which started around 5 years back, VIT- AP has the best infrastructure, as it has 2 academic blocks and one central block. In every block there are class rooms which can accommodate around 70 students. Ground floor of central block has gallery class rooms which can accommodate around 100 students. VIT AP also has around 8 halls which can be reserved for events of clubs and chapter; it also has an auditorium which has a seating capacity of around 600 people. Its library is also very resourceful and useful as it has many titles available.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus life in VIT AP can considered the best compared to other colleges. VIT AP has many technical and non technical clubs and chapter which conduct events every few days. There will be an event literally every day where every student is allowed to participate in them if they have some free time. Coming to events, VIT AP has two main events every year, of which VTAPP is a technical fest and VITOPIA is non technical fest.

    I have been studying here for a while and I think that overall, university is actually good. It is a solid place to develop your future. Professors are approachable and knowledgeable. Library and labs are well maintained. There is a scope of acting in every field of life. We can participate in any sport activities and other extracurricular activities.     Like in these college there are all average things, like some of the students are getting good hostels and some them are getting bad hostels facilities. Sometime food is awesome sometimes like maybe you going to vomit. Some faculties are good enough but some of them don't know the concepts.
