Choosing my course was a task. Choosing what college I want was a very easy process though. Getting into NIFT was a dream come true and honestly for most of the time before the result came, I thought I won't get a good rank. The day the result was out was the day that changed everything. From getting a room in the hostel to making friends from all over India, NIFT has helped and encouraged me throughout the process. The faculty has provided much support in our academics as well as external accomplishments. Being from the department of Fashion Technology, it is hard to find out what you are actually studying and what the course is all about. However, the internship opportunities provided by the campus make us learn everything in a real life practical way. NIFT Hyderabad has some of the most reputed faculties in all departments, which makes every department in our campus even better.

If you are clear that fashion is something that you would like to get into, NIFT is the right way to go. Although since the campus offers almost 7 courses, choosing one that would benefit your skills is most important. Realising what part of fashion you want to work in is important. Entry requirement for fashion technology is physics/maths in 12th Grade. Anyone up to age 24 is eligible for it.

Faculties in all the departments of NIFT Hyderabad have so much knowledge about their subject that they can offer you any answer at any given point of time. Most of them help us in getting internships as well. Style of teaching varies from teacher to teacher. Going and talking to them directly is an amazing way to really get them and their help.

Hostel facilities are up to the mark. Everybody who stays in the hostel has to pay mess fees and the food is provided at all 4 times except on Sundays. Hostel has water coolers on bottom floors and washing machines. The cleaning of the washrooms is done mostly on a 2 day basis and safety is the top priority.

There are 3 hostels as of now and 4th one is in process. A new academic building is almost complete as well which is the tallest building yet in the campus. Architecture of NIFT Hyderabad has won awards for its structure. The departments are neatly distributed and places to conduct events are more than enough.

It is an amazing experience where you get to meet many different people and really understand yourself. To get to know yourself through others who look up to you and some who look down on you really sets things into perspective. There are more than enough events for students to enjoy and our Spectrum fest is always conducted in the most extravagant and spectacular way.
