Overall experience of my college was good and it was not as expected by me, but it is still a good college to be in. I was expecting a large campus and better facilities at campus but it the facilities provided are not that good but they are manageable. I chose this particular institute because its placements are best in the whole of Karnataka. I also got a good rank in KCET examination so I was able to get admission in this college. The students in our college really have many skills which allow us to interact with people having different perspectives and know different point of views. In my first semester I met with students who already knew most of the coding concepts which made me feel left behind. But now, due to these kinds of students I get to know a lot of concepts in coding and I get a drive to learn coding and do better in my online coding contests. I will highly recommend students to join our institute if you get a chance. There are three ways of getting into our institute, one is KCET exam, other is COMEDK exam and the third one is "Management Quota". I would recommend the students to come through any of the first two options. I would recommend the students not to join through "Management Quota" because most of the "Management Quota" struggles a lot to compete with other students in academic as well as in other activities.

My course is "Computer Science - Data Science”. In this course we learn all the concepts related to programming. In the first year we basically learn different things like basics of mechanical, civil, electronics and electrical. We basically get a choice between which of the above 4 we want to learn for the semester. So by learning one of them per semester in the first year we learn two of the above courses till the end of the first semester. Along with these courses we learn chemistry and physics in the first and second semester respectively. In the second and third year we learn all the programming concepts. We also do some internship in these years to get hands on experience. Our college helps us to get the internships easily. In the final year we work on a major project and do some more internship so that we can prepare ourselves for placements. If you are able to get rank under 1500 in KCET or a rank under 1000 in COMEDK you can get admission in some good branches in our college. My motive to enroll in this program is to study computer science in detail because I am really passionate about computers and programming.

Faculty members teaching our courses are well qualified and they are really interested in teaching the subjects to the students. Almost all of our faculty members are Ph.D holders in their respective fields. This shows that they have a deep understanding of the concepts they are teaching. Many of the teachers are from Karnataka itself, but some of the teachers are also from north India and other parts of the country. Style of teaching of some teachers is really good and some other teachers with little experience face difficulties in understanding the student requirements and teaching according to those needs. Overall faculty of the college is good and helpful to students who are really willing to learn and grow.

Yes, we do have a placement cell at our college. It is really helpful to students to get a job after their degree. The average package of our college is about 20LPA and the highest package this time was about 96LPA. This tells us that the placement cell in our college is really helpful to students.

We do have residential facilities in our institute. Hostel life is a lot of fun. The facilities provided in our hostel are really good. The workers make sure that everything is clean. The washrooms and toilets are cleaned on daily basis. We get hot water 24/7. The only issue is we sometimes don't get water adequately in our hostel and also some rooms don't get Wi-Fi connection. Other than this everything is fine in hostel. There is a common area in the middle of the hostel where all the students gather and play cricket, badminton etc. for recreational activities. Hostel is kind of good. The taste is not that great but variety is always there.

Infrastructure is good in some of the departments and it is quite bad in some other. Like some departments which are pretty old are being rebuilt and the campus is under some construction work. Every branch has its own building. All the departments have washrooms, water filters, smart classrooms etc. The benches in each of the classrooms are enough for each of the student to sit comfortably. The teachers are provided with the stage like structure so that he/she can address the class clearly and the students hear the teacher clearly. All the departments have lift as well as staircases to travel between floors.

Campus life is not that great. We have three canteens in our campus where students meet after their classes to eat something and have fun with their friends. There is also one Biotech quadrangle where all the events like DJ night etc. take place. Roads in our campus are not that great but they are quite good for riding a car or a motorcycle. Campus is well designed and different departments are well connected so that students don't face any issues to travel from one department to other.
