Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences (BCAS) is science college of the University of Delhi. If someone has average marks in 12th class, B.C.A.S. is a very good option. It provides only science stream and every faculty of science is good. It is located in south campus.
I did my graduation in Chemistry. There is no such entrance exam for admission in this particular course admission is totally based on the percentage of 12th class. I joined it because I love chemistry and it has a better future in pharmaceutical and chemical industries. Subjects are all interesting and practicals are the really fun part. This course will really be helpful only if one has interest in chemistry.
Chemistry department has really good faculty overall. There are 8 teachers for chemistry theory and for practical there is another staff who are junior professor. They all have done PhD in there respected subjects. They all have very good understanding of their subjects and they teach us in very interesting method. Science will no more boring for you if L.K. sir teaches you this was the slogan of my time in college.
Since this college is for only science so it has not much job opportunities for other than lectureship but if you joined the biochemistry course than you will have a very good opportunity in job placement.
There is no hostel but you can have a good and safe accommodation just in front of the college.
This college has massive infrastructure it has cricket association and cricket ground, lawn tennis court, basketball court, football ground, and other extracurricular facilities. Classrooms are theatre based. It has three story separate library, and 17 laboratories for science courses. It has government and non government societies. It has one cafeteria. Most of all this college has totally functioned gym.
Teachers and other staff were very supportive and college was the place for good education as well as for great fun. It has sports club, dance club and so many societies like women development cell, antardhwani, etc. College fest is also good but not as good as other colleges of Delhi University has.
