BCAS Delhi: Fee Structure Insights

Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences commonly known as BCAS is a constituent college of the University of Delhi. Completely funded by Govt. of India. NIRF ranked 27th among the colleges in India in the year 2024. The college is good for paramedics, But fest and events are not up to the mark of the University of Delhi. The budgets are low and management is abysmal. If you want to enjoy the fest then go for admission to the north and south campuses. I chose this due to the emerging demand for the course (Bio-Medical Sciences). More practical knowledge should be provided to the students so that they can develop industry-level skills.

BCAS offers a B.Sc. of 3 years of duration at the UG level. The course is spread across 6 streams. A candidate has to appear in the CUET national level examination and have to choose the subjects he or she has taken in the 12th board. After that, you need to register for the Delhi University admission portal. They will be allocated according to the merit score of the course examinations. A score of 98+ %ile is recommended to get admission in the University of Delhi. Also the aspiring student must have 75% above in the 10+2 Examinations or in to 20%ile of the board examinations.

The course of the B.Sc. here at the University of Delhi is very minimal and very affordable. The fee here at the BCAS is around Rs.20,000 all the semester. An admission fee is Rs.7,000 that is submitted at the Delhi University portal for my course. The admission fee can vary for different colleges of DU. The special discount of full free year was for the students whose parents were affected due to COVID-19. You can get many scholarships at the NSP portal.

The faculties here at the BCAS are highly qualified and well-educated in their respective fields. They help the students in either the practical or theoretical knowledge. They usually take monthly mentorship and meetings with students to make the students get high knowledge of the subject. They have boards in the classrooms and every teacher has a different style of teaching. The teachers make sure that the course curriculum is followed in a structured way as given.

Many companies visit our campus like Infosys, Wipro, BMW, and many more so this kind of experience can make a great impact on the career of the student. Recently around 10-15 students got placed in TCS at an average of 3 LPA in one day. The college is very supportive in the case of placements as it provides extra placement classes for the students.

DU does not offer residential facility. You have to look for the PG’s around the college as there are many PG’s around our college too. There are many mixed and only girls PGs around our college. The only girl's PGs have an end time of 9 p.m. and they provide you with all the facilities with food. The food quality is good and acceptable.

Our college has excellent facilities, including a library, a hostel, and well-equipped classrooms, etc. The classrooms are well-cleaned and have white boards. Our academic blocks consist of all the instruments and practical labs to get practical knowledge of the subject. There is a basketball court, Multiple badminton courts, an AV room, a volleyball court, a huge field, a library, and a gym. AC is not installed in the classrooms. Labs are well maintained.

I chose this course to get good knowledge of biomedical science. Life at DU is Awesome. You will make yourself changed to be industry-ready for the world. The crowd at the college is knowledgeable and approachable. There are many clubs in the college from music to photography where you can showcase your skills. There are fests in DU colleges but here the fest is not like the ones in north campus or south campus.
